Got one of those bogus Microsoft scam calls bright and early at 8.15am. When your phone rings that early, you instantly worry that something's wrong with your family! Incredibly, the bloke just hung up on me. Bit disappointing, as I enjoy wasting their time and playing along.

I got a call from this number around 11:45 today (13 Feb). Some guy with an asian accent tried to say he was from Microsoft about my computer. I cut him off straight away with a "You're not mate, piss off and find someone else to bother - just sod off!"

My 86 year old grandma called me all upset because someone was yelling at her on the phone. I dialled 1471 to check the number and this popped up, really made me angry!! With everything people are saying about them, they ought to be shut down and made to face legal action right away!

Got a call from some guy with a heavy Indian accent claiming, "Hello, this is John about your Microsoft PC." I quickly cut him off, said "No worries, I've just smashed that thing to bits," and then ended the call. This was actually the second time this week, both times around 7:30 am. Next time I reckon I'll tell them I'll put it on speaker and let my dogs handle the message!

This number rang me earlier claiming to be from Microsoft, but they were really rude and aggressive. I'd avoid answering because if you do, they keep ringing you nonstop day after day. Total nightmare!

Got a call earlier today from someone claiming to be with Microsoft about my computer. I just replied with 'So?', which got a bit of silence. Then he asked if I was Mrs xxxxx, to which I said 'No'. After another pause, he just ended the call. Can't understand how they expect people to fall for this stuff now, but I always make sure to warn mates and family. Really glad I found this site to check these numbers.

Had a call today around 11:55 in the morning from a woman speaking with an Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft. When I challenged her story, she got a bit loud, so I told her off, hung up, and blocked the number straight away.

Got a call around 11:45 this morning from someone using my name, claiming to be with Microsoft. I let them talk for a while before asking what they actually wanted. Once I said it wasn’t me they were after, they just hung up. This is the third time I’ve had calls like this in the last few days. Seems like they’re trying to get into the computers of older or vulnerable folks. Watch out for these scams!

Received a phone call earlier from someone claiming my Windows PC was infected with viruses. I said I actually use a Mac (which isn’t true). They passed me onto another person after that. I just said my dog was throwing up and then ended the call.

I got hit up with about five calls back to back, and they kept talking until we pretended to go along but then said no to turning our WiFi on. The way they spoke was proper scary, almost like they were trying to intimidate us. It’s just disgusting how they think it’s okay to hassle older people like that. Honestly, I hope they get caught and locked away for good.

My elderly mum and I were fast asleep when the phone rang at 7:36am. I hurried to answer but the answerphone picked up first, so they just hung up. I looked up the number online and stumbled upon this site with others' experiences. Luckily, our new phone lets me block annoying numbers, so I’ve added it to the block list. Fingers crossed, this won’t disturb us again in the early hours.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with Microsoft. Apparently, they said hackers were trying to get into my computer license. They wanted me to do some simple stuff to sort it out, but when they said my computer would stop working if I didn’t, I wasn’t having any of it. I got a proper thick fake Microsoft scammer on the phone the other day, claiming I didn’t even need my computer switched on for it to be hacked. I asked him to clarify a bit more and kept telling him, “Sorry, I can’t hear you, could you speak a bit louder please?” Surprisingly, he actually raised his voice! After a short while, I said I didn’t have a computer around, then the swearing began. I told him there was no need for that, I was just trying to help. Then he just hung up, clearly well annoyed. Got a call on 10th February 2018 around half past three in the afternoon. The person claimed to be from Microsoft, saying my PC was hacked and had a virus. I told them straight away that I don’t have a computer, but they kept insisting it was infected anyway! Once I repeated that it couldn’t be true since I don’t own one, they just ended the call. Definitely a scam!
