Got a call from some group called Pep Talk or something, a woman named Rachel was trying to sell me a home insurance renewal. She had my name, address and even knew when it was due, claiming she worked for places like Axa and Aviva. Tried to trick me into giving my bank details. When I said no, she started going on about sort codes, then a bloke jumped on the line. I hung up quick! She called back straight away, so I ended the call again and have blocked the number now - felt really dodgy!

I got a call from Talktalk customer support checking how my service was doing. I asked if they could add free calls and then they said they'd look into it and later on they did add them. I told the person I didn’t want to share any personal details, and they said that was fine and they’d only need to confirm if I was the account holder, which I did. I’m pretty sure this was a legit Talktalk number.

I have received two phone calls from this specific number. The initial call was answered by my spouse, who relayed that the person wanted to speak with me and claimed to be from a company called Talk Talk. Unfortunately, I missed the second call. However, I took the initiative to reach out to Talk Talk directly and they indeed confirmed that someone from their company had tried to contact me at the time specified, which aligns with the details I possess. Therefore, unless there has been a breach or compromise on their website, I am inclined to believe that these phone calls are legitimate and initiated by Talk Talk.

Over a span of four days, I had the misfortune to be contacted on three separate occasions. On the initial call, a woman inquired about my satisfaction with my existing package and also seemed to possess knowledge of its duration. I receive a phone call from them every day without fail! Although I haven't answered, I have taken the preventive measure of blocking their number after finding out online that it's a nuisance call. Interestingly, I can still see that they have attempted to call me multiple times, a total of 8 since 11am! I rarely answer calls from withheld or unfamiliar numbers because, as I believe, if it's something urgent or significant, they will find an alternative way to reach me. Someone mentioned that it could be TalkTalk, which seems probable given that I recently upgraded my package with them.

I find it amusing that someone mentioned TalkTalk, because they have been repeatedly calling both my landline and mobile. They started rambling about some absurd pro-rata bill that I supposedly needed to pay in order to balance my monthly payments. I asked them to send me this information via email, to which they replied that they didn't understand what I meant. It was clear to me that this person was fake, but I decided to play along and entertain them for a bit. Finally, they wished me a good day and said they would contact me again in the future. Yeah, as if! Just to be safe, I checked my Talktalk account and confirmed that their claim was indeed fraudulent. Please be cautious of these types of scams.
