They mostly say they chatted with the company owner last week and want to carry on. I tell them the owner recently passed away and now his 7 year old kid is in charge, but I’ll put them through. I then put on my best little kid voice and ask stuff like "What's an escort, miss? My mum won't explain, and they said dad was with one when he died."

One of the pushiest sales calls I've had in ages. They "forgot" our company's name and then asked if I was the owner! (Yeah, because the boss of a big company always picks up the phone like a receptionist!) Claimed they’d send an email, yet never bothered to get my email or even my name. I told her we already had a contract and weren’t interested, so she thanked me, said goodbye and ended the call. It’s really frustrating we still get these cold calls about this. If it’s Connex, I’ve told them loads of times to take us off their list but clearly they don’t bother listening. Having said that, she was polite and not pushy, so apart from wasting a minute or so of my time, it wasn’t a big deal.

Got a call from Chloe at EcoDialer. Checked them out, they're from Bootle and only set up in April this year. Seems like one of those boiler ECO scams. When I told her I wasn’t interested she just wouldn't stop talking and then claimed I’m 'paying' for the call on my BT bill. Problem is, I don’t have a BT line or any copper wiring here. She kept saying they’d ‘find a way’ to get the money!!! Ridiculous! I told her off proper and finally ended the call.

This number has phoned me twice now. When I pick up, there’s a robotic voice saying sorry no-one is available to take the call and that they’ll call back. It’s daft - if no one can answer, why bother calling? I can barely make out the company’s name, but it seems like something like 'Spack Energy'. Honestly, they should be more concerned about calling in the first place since I’m on the TPS list. Calls like this should really be against the law.
