I received a rather unsolicited call today from someone purporting to be an energy consultant. He insisted that he could take a look at my gas and electricity statements and promised significant savings on my expenses. To be perfectly frank, his call caught me off guard and left me rather unimpressed, especially with his thick accent. I swiftly concluded our conversation, as I had no inclination to engage with this chap or his unsolicited offers.

Got a call from this number today. The person on the other end kept asking for different names that definitely aren’t linked to this phone. When I asked who was calling, they said something about a ‘data protection’ centre but there was loads of background noise, real dodgy sounding like a scam to me.

They said they were from some energy advising company. Weather’s alright but getting a bit nippy now. I just ended the call.
