I’ve been inundated with nuisance calls from this particular number lately.

It’s a total scam! The individual on the line claimed to be representing Vodafone and was clearly attempting to swindle my bank details under the guise of a phone upgrade pitch.

Got a call from someone claiming they were with 3 network but I'm pretty sure it was a scam. Definitely not legit.

Didn’t pick up since I didn’t recognise the number. After checking the comments, seems like it’s probably a scam.

Got a call from someone pretending to be 02, offering an upgrade, but I’m not even with 02. Definitely a scam!

I got a call from some robot that just said "goodbye" - not sure if it was a threat or just them checking if the number was active. Kinda feels like someone I don’t like might have handed over my digits to these creeps.

I got a call from someone saying they were from Currys PC World, but it was obvious it was a scam. They tried to push a mobile phone on me, but honestly, they could hardly talk properly. Definitely dodgy.

This number looks dodgy to me, lots of people checking it out lately. From what I noticed, it jumped from just 22 views to more than 100 in under a couple minutes. I'd say best to avoid ringing it back, could be some sort of scam.

This caller said they were with Vodafone, but I work there and can tell you they failed all verification steps. The number they used wasn’t even in our records. They couldn't even verify my name properly. When I asked them to double-check, they just put me on hold and then hung up. Total scam! The number was only set up recently, and the offer sounded way too good to be real. Don’t get tricked by these sorts of calls!

Ah, now I get it why I got that bogus Vodafone text right after, talking about some massive cash giveaway worth thousands! Classic scam stuff, haha!

Got a call from a number my phone's spam filter flagged, so I just let it ring out. Been getting calls off a few different numbers like that recently, none come up when I try looking them up. So yeah, I've decided to block them.

Just like others have mentioned, this number looks like one of those dodgy Vodafone scams. I got a call recently where the person said they were from Vodafone, but I ended the call as soon as anyone spoke. Today this same number rang again, but when I picked up, there was no response and the line went dead straight away. Honestly, best to avoid it completely.

Got a call from someone with an accent from the Indian subcontinent who said they were calling on behalf of O2. When I asked for any info about my account, they couldn’t give me anything to prove it was legit. I always make sure they provide account details before I say anything. The caller asked repeatedly how much I pay and mentioned some huge discount I could get. After a few minutes of that, I told them I wasn't interested and ended the call. I've blocked the number since then.

Definitely a scam, the person claimed they were calling from Three Mobile. I just hung up straight away.

Got a call saying they were from O2 but with a Vodafone number, seemed super sketchy to me! Reading these comments about 3 Mobile and Vodafone too, definitely feels fishy.

I’ve been getting calls from someone pretending to be O2, but from what others have said, they also claim to be from Three or Vodafone sometimes. I got a call yesterday from a different number also saying they were O2, so I rang O2 directly to check and they told me it was likely a scam. Just to be safe, I changed some settings on my O2 account. Since then, I’ve had calls off six different numbers, this latest one included, ringing me about a dozen times in total. They don’t give up easily. This time I told them straight that I know they’re not O2 and to buzz off (less politely than that, mind). All the numbers have been blocked now. Absolute scammers!

I found it pretty hard to catch what he was saying, but I think he claimed he was ringing from Curry’s PC World. He rang me on my mobile and then asked me to confirm my mobile number, saying I was eligible for an upgrade. I told him to remove me from his contact list and ended the call. I hadn’t received any dodgy calls in ages, like 3 years or so, but yesterday I got one showing a number from Edinburgh - looks like I’m back on some telemarketer’s radar 🙄.

I picked up and they just went silent then cut off right away. Loads of folks seem to be reporting this number too, so I’d be careful if it rings you.

Picked up the phone but no reply, just loads of voices with heavy accents in the back, sounded like a call centre. Ended the call and put them on block straight away.

Honestly, I don’t get why these lot can’t just leave me alone. My number’s fairly fresh and I’m very careful not to share it with any dodgy places. Still, calls keep coming in. I’m pretty sure some ‘proper’ company must be the one slipping my info about, since they’re the only ones who had access to this new number! Just a heads up - it’s definitely a scam, if you hadn’t worked that out from how this sounds!
