I received an unsolicited call from someone pushing “Christmas mobile phone upgrades,” insisting they were from O2. It seemed rather dodgy, to be honest.

This Nottingham number has rung me for the fifth time in just four days. I don’t pick up since they’re just scammers. I block them straight away and make sure to report them too - everyone should do this, otherwise it won’t stop. If you want to report them too, just open your text messages, put 7726 in the recipient field, then type CALL followed by the spam number in the message, and send it. Easy way to help get these scam call centres shut down.

I've received my fifth call from a number based in Nottingham over the last four days. Every single time, I've chosen to block the number (never pick up!). The chap had an Asian accent and sounded like he was in a bustling call centre. He then had the audacity to inquire about my current payment! I received yet another dodgy call, this time purportedly from Vodafone’s promotions team. That makes three such calls within the span of a week! It had all the hallmarks of a typical scam operation - the accent was distinctly Indian, yet they were cleverly using UK dialing codes to give the illusion of authenticity. One call even displayed as coming from a coin dealer in York, while others were linked to Nottingham and Edinburgh. It’s as if they are all part of the same outfit. I called them out on their scammy tactics, and they hung up on me!
