I received an unsolicited call from someone pushing “Christmas mobile phone upgrades,” insisting they were from O2. It seemed rather dodgy, to be honest.

This Nottingham number has rung me for the fifth time in just four days. I don’t pick up since they’re just scammers. I block them straight away and make sure to report them too - everyone should do this, otherwise it won’t stop. Easy way to help get these scam call centres shut down.

Got a call supposedly from ‘Vodafone’ offering a discount for sticking with them. I asked which phone number the deal was for, and they seemed to dodge the question, acting a bit confused. After I asked again, they said they’d check and then cut me off. Honestly, don’t share any info or verify anything with these calls - just put the phone down straight away!

This Nottingham number has called me FIVE times within just a few days! I don’t pick up at all, and every time I block it straight away. If everyone reported these calls, they’d definitely get caught eventually! Just a tip - you can report spam texts or calls by texting 7726 (which spells SPAM), then write “call” plus the phone number in the message box. We really need to work together to stop these scam calls once and for all!

Some bloke called claiming he was with Vodafone, offering a deal to lower my bill or something like that, sounded like he was shouting from one of those busy call centres with an Asian accent. Then he goes on asking how much I pay. I told him, “You’d know that if you actually worked for Vodafone,” and he started trying to weasel out saying stuff like ‘not necessarily’ or whatever. I just cut the call there. Best not to waste your time with these calls.

Got a phone call supposedly from Vodafone’s promo team - it was the third one this week! They had that typical Indian call centre vibe but were using UK numbers to make it look legit.
