Got a call from a woman with a strong foreign accent claiming to be from O2. Couldn’t make out a single thing she was saying, so I just ended the call. Definitely a scam!

I got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, but when I tried to ring back, the call just dropped immediately. Seems like they don’t accept any incoming calls at all.

Got a call from someone saying they were O2 and my number, which they said they called on, was about to get cut off soon and they’d post me a new SIM. Thing is, my phone contract isn’t even with O2. Then, a few minutes after, I got another call that sounded exactly the same from another 0115 number that was pretty similar to the last one.

Got a call from an Indian call centre asking for "Madam." As soon as they answered, I heard that weird crackling sound you get from scam call centres. I started chatting with them in Japanese, which seemed to confuse them enough to hang up. I've since blocked the number and reported it as a scam to my phone company.

I wouldn't recommend picking up calls from unfamiliar numbers, even if they’re local. I let it ring through to my voicemail, but they didn't bother leaving a message. Seems like it’s probably a scam!

Absolutely dreadful experience! The sound was muffled and the voices barely audible. They claimed to be representatives from O2 and insisted they needed my email to grant me a 30% discount because of some merger with Virgin. I wasn’t having any of it, so I promptly declined and added the number to my block list.

Received a rather dubious call from someone claiming to be with Sky Mobile, insisting they could offer me a hefty 40% off my monthly charges for the upcoming year. They seemed utterly clueless about the details of my existing contract. When I probed further for some reassurance regarding their identity, their tone became quite confrontational. Naturally, I reached out to Sky directly and found out it was indeed a scam. I've since blocked the number-what a nuisance!
