Received a rather dodgy call from an overseas number the other day. The caller took his sweet time responding to me, leading me to suspect he had another call on the go simultaneously. Out of nowhere, he uttered, "I'm going to have my way with you." I couldn't help but retort that my hubby wouldn't take kindly to that sort of chat! At that point, he abruptly disconnected. When I tried the 1471 service, the number that popped up didn’t even exist! Quite the mystery! Regards, Mrs. Tapscott. Call came through at 17:18 on Friday, 22nd May 2014.

I received a phone call from an individual noticeably speaking with an Indian accent. They began discussing my broadband service, but their approach raised my suspicions, prompting me to hang up promptly.

Bravo to the team! I received a similar call where the person on the other end pretended to be from Microsoft tech support. They insisted that my computer was crawling due to a virus and urged me to download some software to boost its performance.

Total fraudsters, if you ask me.
