I received a call from this number approximately four weeks ago. The individual claimed to be from PC Technical Support and offered me nine years of computer assistance for £166. I asked for his name, which he stated was James Roads, although his accent suggested he might be of Indian origin. Regrettably, I allowed him to remotely access my computer using Tea Viewer. As of now, I haven't noticed any unusual activity in my bank account. Despite this, I am curious about the appropriate steps I should have taken in response to the situation.

I don't understand why anyone would believe and act on the request made in such nonsense. It baffles me why I would receive a call earlier only to hang up.

Today, someone called me but I couldn't recognize the caller. My son answered the call and they claimed to be from a broadband company. However, my son informed them that they had reached the wrong person, and they immediately hung up. I'm confused as to how they obtained my number since I never share it with anyone.

I was contacted earlier today by a gentleman who said he worked for various technology support companies like BT, TalkTalk, Sky, Virgin Media, and others. He insisted that I visit the website www.teamviewer.com and access it on my computer. Suspicious, I questioned him about his identity once more. He reiterated that he represented BT, but without providing any further information, he abruptly ended the call.

Absolutely a complete scam! They claimed to be calling from my internet service provider, but obviously they got the wrong provider. It's baffling how people can fall for these tricks by these jokers.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from my internet provider, warning me about viruses being downloaded onto my computer. I listened to him for a while before he asked me to turn on my computer, at which point I informed him that I wasn't gullible and didn't trust a word he was saying. Instead of just ending the call, he began using a string of vulgar language, even going as far as making disrespectful and explicit requests. Despite his offensive language, I couldn't help but laugh, which seemed to make him even more enraged. Eventually, I suggested that he may have sexual problems resulting in his anger issues. Surprisingly, he apologized for his behavior, wished me a pleasant day, and abruptly ended the call. It is clear that this was a scam and should not be trusted.

Today, I received a call from this number informing me that my laptop was infected with viruses and in immediate danger. I inquired about the caller's location, but he seemed hesitant to disclose it. I calmly explained that my laptop was perfectly fine, and as a response, he rudely insulted me by calling me a foolish and uninformed woman who lacks knowledge. He proceeded to imply that I was unintelligent and asked if my husband was present. I asserted that there was no need to speak to him. Still persistent, he then demanded my personal details, such as my name and age. This individual's behavior is beyond unsettling.

I just received a phone call from a number advising me about the slow speed of my broadband connection and claimed that I was unknowingly infecting my devices with viruses every time I logged on. Curious, I asked if the caller represented my internet service provider. To my surprise, he responded by mentioning that he works on behalf of various providers, such as Virgin, Sky, BT, and TalkTalk. Realizing that this was likely a sales call, I remarked about their intention to sell me something. The caller promptly hung up! Additionally, judging by the number displayed on my phone, it appeared to be an international call. Clearly, this was an attempt at a scam.

Just now, I received a call from a number claiming to be the Technical department from Sky. They offered a complimentary service to remove unnecessary files from my computer. Despite explaining that I was not a Sky customer, they insisted it was irrelevant. Sensing something suspicious, I declined their offer and promptly ended the call.
