Oh, you won't believe what happened! Some muppet rang me up claiming he was in, and I quote ( BRIM IN HAND ), of all places, BIRMINGHAM. Naturally, I decided to have a bit of fun, so I kept firing questions at him. Then, lo and behold, his lovely accent slipped out, and he introduced himself as HARRY WILSON! 🥴 Honestly, Harry, it was simply too ridiculous, and guess what? He hung up on me in a huff! 😤 I'm absolutely itching for the next call now! 😂

We had a similar experience ourselves - someone called claiming to be from the technical team of our internet provider, stating that our laptop was infected with a virus. We didn't take kindly to their scare tactics at all!

I received a call from someone claiming they could fix my sluggish broadband by gaining access to my computer.

I received a rather dubious call from this number too, and it was quite baffling. The chap on the other end had an Indian accent, but honestly, I struggled to catch most of what he was on about. He mentioned something regarding my computer being infected with a virus. I assured him that’s far from the case, thanks to my robust security measures. All of a sudden, he started blustering down the line, repeating ‘what... what... what’ in a rather irate manner. Complete scam, if you ask me, and utterly infuriating to boot!

Beware of this number, it's definitely a scam! I regret being gullible enough to comply with their demand, claiming my computer was infected with a virus. Thankfully, I had my doubts and didn’t go all the way. Stay sharp, folks-this is nothing but trickery!

A chap rang me up inquiring about my internet and computer performance. I've encountered this number previously, but it's consistently been kept private. When I responded that everything was perfectly alright and requested not to be contacted again, there was a bit of silence before he pushed back, so I ended the call, firmly stating that I recognised this as a scam and not to ring me once more. He retorted with some unsavoury language and persisted in debating! Eventually, I just hung up. So far, it's been a peaceful 20 minutes without another call.

I received a rather dubious call from this number earlier today. A chap on the line inquired about potential viruses affecting our computer and claimed he could resolve the issue. When I mentioned that I was rather pressed for time and couldn't assist him, he abruptly hung up. Be cautious, as this might be a ploy by hackers!

I've received calls from this number, but it seems to be non-existent. It’s quite baffling! Someone with an Indian accent was on the line, and I made it clear I wasn’t waiting for any calls before abruptly ending the conversation. They really ought to get their act together!

I’ve just had a call from this number claiming to be from the tech support team of my internet provider. When I inquired about their identity, the chap threw out a few names, but none of them rang true, so I decided to terminate the conversation. He insisted that they had been receiving alerts indicating we had viruses every time I logged on, and he offered to guide me through the so-called resolution. Quite dodgy if you ask me!

I've just received yet another one of those calls, and it was the same old story - the caller was throwing around abuse and foul language. I reckon he isn’t finding it all that amusing anymore, as I decided to give him a proper earful with a referee’s whistle down the line! I imagine he’ll be regretting his choice of words for a good while now!

Once again, I received a call from this number, and all I could hear was silence followed by some foul language. It’s high time I flag this number!

Received a call from this number earlier. I made it clear that I wasn’t keen on whatever they were selling, and wouldn’t you know it, they rang me back! This time, the woman on the other end went absolutely off her rocker, hurling all sorts of foul language my way-called me a f***ing b***h and more, all while practically yelling! Honestly, steer well clear of these people!

I recently received a phone call from these individuals. When I politely declined their offer, I decided to contact my internet provider to verify. They informed me that it was indeed a fraudulent call aimed at obtaining personal information. Just a heads up for everyone-stay vigilant!

Just like many before me, I received a call from an Indian chap claiming to be 'John' from my internet provider. I asked him which company he represented, and he promptly hung up. It’s baffling why the authorities haven’t intervened-surely they can track these numbers down and put a stop to it. It’s high time they took some action!

Received a similar call, from some bloke having a go about my internet service being terrible (which is odd, considering I’ve got a decent connection despite being in a remote area). Then he started on about my laptop being sluggish - I mean, really, what kind of wizardry do you need to read that through the phone line? I told him where to go in no uncertain terms, and he promptly hung up. Funny that!

I received a call from this number earlier, and when I requested the caller to repeat their name, they responded rather rudely, saying something along the lines of, 'What’s up with your voice, you absolute idiot,' before slamming the phone down. It's utterly unacceptable behaviour. This number ought to be blocked altogether, and I'd advocate for it to be traced back to the individual responsible for this verbal abuse. Imagine if someone vulnerable had received such a call-it's downright shocking! Absolutely disgraceful, I say.

I experienced a familiar scenario with a call from this number. A chap with a heavy Indian accent got in touch, initiating the conversation with some light-hearted banter. He claimed to be from 'broadband technical support' without naming an actual provider. When he inquired about the performance of my computer and I affirmed it was operating smoothly, the call promptly dropped. Quite clearly an attempted scam!

I received a rather unusual phone call from someone claiming to be called Tom, who said he was representing the technical support team of my internet provider. However, when I inquired about the name of my broadband supplier, he abruptly ended the call. Quite suspicious, isn't it?

I recently received a telephone call from someone named "James," who had a pronounced Asian accent. He greeted me with a cheerful "Good morning! How are you today?" Feeling a bit suspicious, I decided to hang up and do a quick search on the internet. I'm pleased I did because it turned out to be yet another scam attempt.

At precisely 19:32 on the 4th of March in 2014, I received a call from a chap with an Indian accent who wanted to discuss my internet connection. I swiftly informed him that I was rather busy and couldn't engage in a conversation. To my surprise, he retorted rather rudely with a "GO TO HELL!" instead of hanging up like I anticipated. When I queried him with a "What?", he simply answered "OK" before finally disconnecting. This interaction unnerved me, as it felt rather unsettling to hear such words and then have to wait for a response.

I've received a total of four calls over the last day, each at random intervals, and when I pick up, there's just silence on the other end. I even attempted to return the call, only to be met with a recorded message declaring that the number isn't valid. Quite odd, really. I think I’ll just disregard any future attempts from that number.

Just received a call from them a short while back - be cautious! A mate of mine got caught out by the same crowd. They claimed his computer had a virus, took control of his device, and ended up infecting it further. In the end, they demanded over £100 to sort it out! He had to take it to an actual repair shop to get it back to normal.

I ought to mention that it's wise to sign up with the Telephone Preference Service over at http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/index.html. If you take a gander at “The ongoing nuisance of unsolicited calls,” you’ll find it helpful. Additionally, don’t forget that you can lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office. Received a call around ten o'clock this morning from a woman with an Indian accent. She was inquiring about the usual things that others have shared here. The moment I mentioned my familiarity with computers and asked for additional details, the line suddenly went silent. A word of caution: just hang up immediately as the number seems to be non-existent.

I just received a phone call at half five from that very same number, and lo and behold, it was another Indian chap on the other end. This time, he proclaimed he was with BT's Broadband customer support. Now, here's the kicker: I don't even have an account with BT! He proceeded to tell me they were assisting with issues for AOL, Sky, Virgin, and BT. I couldn’t help but retort, "That’s rather generous of you...do these companies even know you’re helping them out?" According to him, my computer is performing sluggishly due to some dodgy files he’s picked up on that are mucking about with my connection through the transmissions from my PC. I responded, “Oh, is that so? Those pesky old transmissions, eh?” Then he instructed me to hop online and type in WWW.TEAMVIEWER.COM. I asked him, “Are you absolutely certain you’re genuinely from BT?” And just like that, he hung up on me…what bad manners!

I recently received a telephone call from a woman claiming to be part of the technical team for my internet provider. She had a pronounced Indian accent, and the fact that she didn’t specify which company she represented immediately raised my eyebrows. I interrupted her quite sharply, asking for the name of the company she was representing, and she mentioned she dealt with Sky, BT, and Virgin. I told her that everything with my broadband was perfectly fine and cut the call short. Following this, I contacted Sky to verify if they had indeed reached out to me, but they certainly hadn’t, as I haven’t reported any issues! Please be wary-this is undoubtedly a scam, so do ignore any calls from this number!

I received a rather peculiar call not long ago from a chap named "Tom," who sounded to be of Indian descent. He was inquiring about my broadband provider. When I asked him which one he represented, he guessed "Sky," but I told him he was mistaken. He then had a go with "BT," but it was still a no from me. At that point, he abruptly hung up on me. The whole exchange took place on the 4th of March at 11:48 in the morning. How odd!

I received a phone call regarding my broadband connection, claiming to be from Sky's technical support. Regrettably, I unwittingly powered up my computer and followed their guidance. They then had the audacity to demand a payment of £199 for an antivirus service. When I declined their offer, they kept hounding me until I lost my temper and raised my voice; at that point, they simply hung up. Now, I'm feeling quite anxious since I granted them access to my device, and I’m uncertain what steps I ought to take next.

I just received a call from this number. I can't recall the chap's name or the specifics of his inquiry, but it seemed related to some sort of broadband assistance. He mentioned something about how my computer was prone to viruses every time I logged on. I didn’t get far in the conversation as I raised my voice significantly, making it clear that I wasn’t remotely interested, before I ended the call. In hindsight, perhaps I should have seen it through, but I couldn't be arsed to entertain the nonsense. It’s quite amusing, really, considering I’d just been looking into scams of this nature - not that I would have fallen for it, mind you! Now I’m just left hoping it was indeed a scam, and that I won't be subjected to a follow-up call chastising me for my rather colourful language. :/

I received a call from a chap with a distinct Indian accent who insisted he was part of the tech support team for my internet provider. Right off the bat, I sensed something was amiss, especially since I've never even reached out to their support. If he were genuine, he would have named the company straight away, wouldn't he? Then, rather predictably, he went on about how my computer was riddled with viruses. I’m well aware my machine is clean as a whistle-I run regular scans! So, I opted to end the conversation right there and hung up.

This evening, around 7 PM, I received a call from a gentleman with a strong Indian accent who introduced himself as John, a broadband technician. He proceeded to inform me that there was a technical issue with my internet connection that he could assist me in resolving. He inquired whether I was currently at my computer and if I was using a laptop or desktop. However, I sensed something was off as he didn't even ask for the name of the account holder. So, I decided to prompt him with the questions-requesting the name of my service provider and for him to verify my account number. He spouted some random digits that bore no resemblance to my actual account number and failed to identify my broadband provider. At that point, I thought it best to terminate the call. Surely this must be a scam, right?

This evening around 18:23, I received a rather peculiar phone call from an individual with a pronounced Indian accent. He introduced himself as John, claiming to be a technician reaching out to assist me with some so-called issues I was facing with my internet connection. I promptly informed him that I wasn't experiencing any internet troubles. Strangely enough, he then insisted that my computer was struggling to boot up and launch programmes, which simply isn't the case. I pointed out that even if there were a delay in my computer's startup, it wouldn't be related to my internet service.
