This number 01147002209 keeps popping up on my phone, says it's from Norway or something. Honestly, it's super annoying having to deal with it all the time.

Today, at around half eleven in the morning, I noticed a missed call from 44 114 700 2209. Since I didn't know the number, I didn’t pick up. Over the last week, my mobile has been ringing a few times from numbers I don't know, and being over 70, I usually just ignore these calls. I’m based in Berkshire, if it makes any difference.

Picked up the phone but they hung up straight away, so I've blocked the number now.

Got a call from someone saying they're HMRC. They warned me to get in touch straight away or I'd be taken to court. It was an automated voice. This was the second time in two weeks they've called.

I wasn't sure who rang me, so I tried calling back and all I got was a dial tone. Pretty sure it’s dodgy and maybe a scam.

Some bloke called himself Damien Arthur or sumthin, said he was something like HMRE B62754 or whatever. Proper strange, innit?

I tried calling the number back after they just hung up on me, but turns out it’s not even registered anywhere!

I just ended the call as soon as I picked up.

I received a voicemail claiming to be from HMRC, stating that a legal matter has arisen concerning me. They urged me not to disregard the message and advised that I should get in touch with them as soon as possible, preferably with a solicitor in tow. Quite alarming, to say the least!

I decided not to pick up since I didn't recognise the number. The caller hung up without leaving any message, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.
