Got a call from this number a few days ago. It was a bit strange - the person on the other end claimed to be Peter James, with some ID number 523011 or something like that. Seemed fishy to me, didn’t sound legit at all. I just hung up without saying much. Watch out if you get a call from them!

Got this automated call supposedly from HMRE, threatening serious actions if me or my lawyer didn’t ring them straight away! Quite worrying!

I got a call from 0114-7001659, and the guy claimed to be officer Andrew Lobo with badge number 742609310. He said he was from the Queens Bench Division and told me I owed £2,986 in taxes to HMRC which I had to pay right away. Otherwise, he warned that I’d be jailed and my passport and driving licence would get taken away. Then, he handed the call over to someone introducing himself as Inspector Peter James, badge 523011, from the number 020 7947 7772. This guy said I could sort the payment the next day using an escrow account. Felt like a dodgy scam to me.

Got a call from someone pretending to be HMRC, saying I owed a tax debt and warning about court unless I paid straight away. I was nearly tricked into paying before I called the actual tax office. They told me it was a scam, designed to scare people into handing over cash. Really glad I double checked!
