6 yearsI just had a rather alarming phone call from this number. A chap named Peter James claimed he was ringing from the tax department, reference DC2320R, to discuss some alleged tax fraud I supposedly committed. Having a good grasp on my affairs, I recognised this to be utter nonsense. I promptly hung up and took the matter to the police. They recommended I also file a report at actionfraud.police.uk. Quite baffling, really.Peter James6 yearsJust got a call claiming to be from HMRC - total scam, don’t fall for it!HMRC6 yearsGot a call again from some dodgy person saying they're from HMRC. I swear these con artists deserve a spot in the worst place imaginable. Please, watch out and stay safe, folks!6 yearsI received a voicemail from an automated message saying it was HMRC. When I phoned back, the person said I had a tax case against me. They asked for my National Insurance number, my postcode and even my house number. I’ve now reported it to the police and flagged it as a phishing scam to HMRC.HMRCNational Insurance6 yearsDidn't pick up the call, so I rang back the number.
