Woke up this morning to a voicemail from this number, and some woman was swearing like mad, using the F word loads. I don’t think she knew the call hadn’t ended properly as I could hear a telly and people chatting in the background. Proper annoying way to start a Sunday. Definitely looks like a scam to me.

I got a call from some nutter claiming I’d done something dodgy with my income tax and that I was going to get arrested. They even gave me a case number and all that. When I told them to prove they knew my National Insurance number, they just dropped the call.

The number 0114 700229 popped up on my phone, and the person said they were from HMRC, saying I needed to do something straight away. I hung up pretty quick, didn’t wanna risk it. It’s crazy how the government could stop these scammers easily, but they just won’t make the laws to deal with them. Feels like it’s alright for them to keep ripping people off, basically legal stealing.
