Got a couple of calls from an unknown number yesterday and today, but I never pick up if I don’t know who it is. They left a voicemail, and when I checked it, it was some recorded message with a woman speaking in an American accent claiming to be some officer from HMRC, threatening arrest if I didn’t ring back. Was obvious nonsense to me, but just putting it here to warn others. Plus, me and my partner got texts about updating our EE payment details with a link to click, but we don’t use EE at all. Definitely another dodgy scam trying to rip us off. Stay careful, folks.

I got a couple calls from numbers that looked almost the same, but not quite. It really threw me off because it sounded pretty official, but I find it hard to believe that the government would be quite so harsh.

Got a call from a dodgy robo voice pretending to be some HMRC officer, telling me I had to ring them back or get my lawyer to, otherwise I’d "face the full consequences" or whatever. Proper scam, don’t fall for it.

I keep getting calls from this number, like twice every day. I don’t pick up numbers I don’t recognise. If it was important, they’d send you something in the post, not keep ringing. It’s definitely some annoying scam. My partner actually called the number back and it said HMRC, but it just sounded like a busy call centre. HMRC don’t phone you out of the blue - they always send a letter first.
