They really didn’t know anything about me, but kept pushing. I asked them which property they were on about and they then asked ME to confirm the address. I told them I couldn’t say anything because of data protection rules. Proper annoying lot.

It’s not a scam or anything, they’re just trying to pitch a fixed rate deal for a year with their company. They were quite persistent, but if you keep telling them no they’ll eventually give up and stop bothering you.

When I asked about the company she said something like “newbar” or “new blue,” not really clear. She wouldn’t explain how they got my number either. This number is based in Sheffield, UK. The caller claimed to be from Nabuh? Energy and asked if I had a Smart meter or a pay meter, plus who supplied my energy. When I said neither, they then wanted to know how I paid for my energy. They even used my first name, which was odd. I asked them where they got my name and phone number from, but they wouldn’t say. I ended the call and blocked the number straight away.
