Thing is, I've never had an account with Lloyds, so I checked the number online and found loads of people calling it a scam. So I didn't bother calling back and just marked the number as spam.

Got a text from +63 928 272 2566 claiming there was some dodgy payment from my account and asking me to ring 0114 356 0028. I didn’t want to share any details over the phone, but then someone else answered. They were quite polite and kept insisting it was legit, asking me to fill out an online fraud form with them. They told me to open Safari, so I said I’d grab my iPad, and then they just ended the call abruptly.

I've been getting loads of spam messages that look like they're from Binance, using mobile numbers instead of just saying Binance as the sender. Seems like they've been cracked down on that method now. Just to be clear, this number ain't connected to Binance at all - it's a scam. I tried to report one of these as spam but the message got deleted and blocked straight away, so I can't even share the actual mobile number here.

Got a text from this number saying it was AMERICAN EXPRESS, asking if I knew about a transaction and to call if I didn't. I rang the proper Amex Fraud team and turns out it was a total scam. Amex doesn't ask you to get back to them on random numbers like that.

WATCH OUT FOR PAYMENT SCAMS!! Got a message from +44 7546 553 824 pretending to be Capital One credit card about some payment attempt. They told me to ring 0114 356 0028 if it wasnt me trying to pay. Capital One normally uses a no-reply hidden number for texts, so this set off alarms right away and I knew it was a scam.
