Got a call from someone claiming to be with EON, saying they wanted me to merge my Gas and Electric bills. I told them no thanks and explained I am happy with my current providers. I also mentioned I’m on the TPS list, and he said he’d take my number off. Yet, two weeks later, that same number has been ringing me every day for a whole week. I just pick up without saying a word. All I hear is the bloke asking if anyone’s there, ha! Bit childish, but it’s quite funny to hear him keep repeating the same question. Definitely wasting his time like he’s wasting mine!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with EON, trying to get me to merge my Gas and Electric bills. I told them I’m fine with my providers and wasn’t interested. Also mentioned I’m on the TPS list, to which he said he’d take my number off his calls. But for the next week every day, that same number kept buzzing me. I’d pick up but stay quiet. The guy keeps asking if there’s anyone on the line, which honestly made me chuckle. Bit childish, yeah, but kind of amusing hearing him keep trying like that...lol

I received a rather overzealous phone call from someone claiming to be associated with EON. He inquired if I was interested in rejoining their services, as I had been a customer previously. When I mentioned my reasons for not wanting to switch back, he kept pressing with questions like, “Why not?” and “What’s holding you back?” After explaining my stance quite clearly, I suggested he take a hint and move along. A few days later, the phone calls resumed, so I decided to block the number.

They rang my 80 year old dad who ended up giving his bank info, which obviously was daft of us. My lad grabbed the phone and challenged the caller, saying dad was vulnerable and asked to speak with the manager. Then they said the manager isn’t trained to deal with the public. At no point did they admit they were a third party. I’d steer well clear of any calls from this number.
