I dont usually pick up calls from unknown numbers. Instead, I have my answering machine - kinda like my own secretary - handle those calls. If its nothing serious, they’ll leave a message, right? Easy!

the person on the phone was quite courteous and mentioned my old skoda, but they didn’t realise I’ve switched to a newer model now. I felt a bit uneasy and cut the call short. after looking at this website, I’m relieved I stopped the chat - wonder how many folks fall for this!

Got a ring from this number asking about my son and his Skoda, but he hasn’t got one, it’s actually my daughter who does. The lady then asked for my son’s phone number, I just said “nah, not happening”. She hung up and I blocked the number straight away.

I saw a missed call from a number and decided to ring it back. When I did, there was a recorded voice that mentioned something like ‘Sterling UK’. I tried searching online but couldn’t find any working website linked to that name.

Was shocked when they rattled off all details about my Skoda - the reg number, when I bought it, and even where! Never gave them a clue. Double checked with Skoda UK and they said they’ve got nothing to do with it. I’ve reported it straight to Action Fraud. People doing this sort of stuff really deserve to be locked away for good.

In the past couple of days, this number called me twice on my mobile. I usually don't pick up unless I recognise the number.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Skoda UK, said they wanted to check my car info. They asked for my address to "look up my car records" but I just told them no and ended the call.

I didn’t pick up and it went to voicemail. I could hear what sounded like noises from an office in the background, but not completely sure if they were real. There was no actual message, just silence. So, I ended up blocking the number.
