When I called them back once to check things out, they claimed the energy company's site was down and couldn’t confirm anything. That raised alarm bells for me, so I logged onto the official site myself and saw there was no outstanding balance at all. They come across quite convincing and professional, and keep calling from different numbers, often with loads of background noise like a busy call centre, though I doubt that’s real. If you have doubts, try asking them for your last meter reading - they’ll probably say there’s a system error and can’t give it to you.
