4 yearsI received a rather peculiar call today, supposedly from a government debt management agency. They claimed they could assist me in settling some debt that I don't actually possess. To top it off, they requested my banking information. What a load of rubbish! Just a bunch of scammers trying their luck!4 yearsI've received several calls from this number. Today, I finally answered. It was clearly a call centre given the racket in the background. As soon as I inquired about where she was calling from, she promptly hung up after asking if I was "first name last name." The woman claimed her name was Camilla Anderson - a rather typical Swedish name, considering I'm in Sweden. However, her accent didn’t suggest she was Swedish at all (I’m aware there are some folks in England with Swedish names, but I'm inclined to think it was a made-up moniker). Strangely enough, I didn’t get any information regarding the purpose of the call.Camilla AndersonSwedenEngland5 yearsAbsolutely triumphant! These charlatans are utterly powerless against me. Whether it’s in flesh, in verse, in theory, or in truth, they stand no chance. Honestly, it feels as if time itself has frozen, only to come crashing down on those fraudulent call centres... what a joke! These swindlers don’t stand a chance!5 yearsMy existence seems to be a string of unfulfilled promises and shattered aspirations… I’m clinging to the hope that better days are on the horizon… Yet, the job market appears bleak and barren… I’m feeling quite dispirited, starved for opportunity and sustenance… Residing in this chilly abode without any heating, completely bare… I’ve had my fill of mind-numbing jobs that offer pitiful wages… And I’m utterly exhausted from the cycle of being brought on board only to face dismissal within the same breath… Please, for the love of all that’s good, steer clear of CHARLATANS… I refuse to part with my hard-earned cash over the phone, thank you very much!5 yearsReceived a call yesterday from an individual with an Asian accent on my mobile. He addressed me using a name I typically reserve for online interactions and proceeded to claim that I had some outstanding debt which I was supposedly repaying in instalments. He then asked me to verify this information. I replied that since he seemed to have all the details, he ought to already know the answer. Unsurprisingly, he abruptly ended the call. It’s evident this was a scam attempt.5 yearsI’ve been getting loads of calls recently, feels like it’s neverending!5 yearsRight from the off, they called me by an old name I haven’t gone by in ages, which was my first clue something was off. When I tried to correct them, they just carried on with their pitch, but honestly, their accent was so thick I could barely catch a word - like needing headlights in thick fog to get through it. I asked if they could speak more clearly so I could make sense of the nonsense, but they just got annoyed and ended up hanging up on me.5 yearsNever waste your time on these idiots, they just hang out at home trying to rip people off.5 yearsI got a call from this number, but the moment I tried ringing it back, the line just cut off. Seems dodgy, like one of those scams. I’ve blocked it now.5 yearsI just let it ring and didn't pick up.5 yearsGot multiple calls from this number today, no idea who it is. Didn’t pick up cause it felt like a bit of harassment or something. They kept ringing on and off all day.5 yearsSo, apparently, I’ve got some unsecured debt hanging over my head... well, that’s a bit of a revelation, isn’t it?5 yearsReceived a call from a number I hadn’t associated with since 2006, and they claimed to be inquiring about a UK government initiative regarding my unsecured debt. Quite baffling!UK5 yearsThe person on the line claimed that I had outstanding debts. I promptly informed them that was not the case, and the conversation came to a close.5 yearsSteer clear of it.Steer5 yearsA gentleman called me chattering away in a multitude of languages, completely clueless about his intentions. I had a gut feeling it was a scam, so I left the phone line open for a good while, just to ensure he couldn’t hang up and annoy someone else.5 yearsInquiring about financial dues and mentioning a state programme? Best to steer clear of them - it's a dodgy scheme!5 yearsI received a rather surprising call that went unanswered, to my relief. No idea who it could be, don’t recognise it at all.5 yearsI wasn’t certain who was ringing, so I tried calling back and only got an old dial-up noise. When I asked them to prove they were actually from Virgin, they just ended the call. Now this unknown number is calling me again and I’m pretty sure it’s all a scam.Virgin Media5 yearsIt seems there are options available for managing debts.5 yearsI received a rather dubious call informing me that I was in £5000 worth of debt, and they had the audacity to ask me to clarify what debts I supposedly had. I pointed out that if they were aware of this amount, surely they would know the specific debts. They floundered a bit, claiming they only had the total but not the details. I made it clear that I am debt-free, not a penny owing. At that point, they abruptly ended the call. So, I promptly blocked their number! However, just an hour later, another call came through from a similar number. Unbelievable!Submit Your Own Report (0113 522 0184)
