She didn’t give any clear details or even mention the names of the “big reputable firms” she claimed to have dealt with. Honestly, felt a bit like talking to someone who didn’t really know what they were on about. A bit disappointing, to be honest.

Got a woman who keeps ringing about my loft insulation, says her name's Jo but never bothers to say which energy firm she’s from. This has been going on for months now. I’ve told her to quit calling, signed up to the TPS, called her back to ask for my number to be taken off her list, even blocked her number - she just rings me from some other one. Reported her to all the proper people but it’s still happening. Seriously, what can I do to get her to leave me alone?

There’s this lady who rings me all the time about energy advice, I’ve had about 5 calls from her already. Her voice is super familiar now. Everytime I say I’ve sold my house and am moving, she just hangs up on me straight away. Luckily, we have an answerphone, so if it’s important, people can leave a message. Spoiler: the scammers never bother to do that.

Got a ring from this number the other day. Some woman claimed she was with a government dept doing a free survey. I tried getting her to tell me the name of the company she was calling about, but she kept sidestepping it, saying she was representing a bunch of energy efficiency firms. I kept pressing for an answer about the company name, probably asked like 3 or 4 times, but she just dodged it every time. Eventually, she just cut me off.

Fraud alert!

I got a call from this number and a woman claimed to represent some government organisation conducting a complimentary survey. However, when I inquired about the name of the company she was supposedly calling on behalf of, she cleverly sidestepped the question. She rambled on about collaborating with various energy efficiency firms but refused to provide any specific details. I pressed her several times on the same question, but she just kept evading it. Ultimately, she ended the conversation abruptly.
