Just got a message saying it was from Santander with a code to approve an £800 payment for a Canon camera. It asked to ring a number if I hadn’t made the purchase. The thing is, I don’t even have a Santander account. Not sure who to alert about this, but glad I saw the other comments warning folks not to phone that number.

Purporting to be from Barclays, but let me tell you, they’re nothing but chancers and rather poor ones at that! They can’t even manage to pick up the phone. Honestly, it’s laughable! Just like others mentioned before, I got a dodgy text claiming to be from HSBC. It showed a one-time code for some £655 payment to NEXO. The message told me to call their number if I didn’t authorise it. I knew for sure I hadn’t bought anything like that, so I just deleted it straight away.

I just got a text asking me to send an OTP code for a £655 payment to LONO (some bitcoin thing) and to ring a certain number if I didn’t approve it. There were 2 earlier texts about the same thing too, which some folks are calling spam, so watch out!!
