I reckon I've had over 30 calls from this lot in the past six months. I’ve told them off proper, you'd think they’d get the hint by now. But nope, they just keep ringing. I've blocked every single number they try, yet they still manage to get through. Honestly, I’m out of ideas - best thing is just to ignore them altogether.

Got a call from someone with a foreign accent asking to join a survey, just another annoying call, blocked straight away.

They keep ringing and then either go quiet or just hang up - had to block the number. But I’m pretty certain they’ll just switch to some other random number generated by a computer. If everyone just ignored them and stopped answering, I reckon these calls would dry up really quick.

Just got a call from "Beneficial" who somehow had my full name and address. They said I signed up with them and they wanted to do a survey with 4 quick questions to reduce calls like this supposedly for my own good. The caller was shockingly rude, kept cutting me off, absolutely no manners or customer service skills, and their English was awful. When I didn’t answer how they wanted, they started shouting and ended up hanging up on me after more abuse. I can’t believe this is allowed and there’s no way to complain about it.

This evening, at precisely 19:22, I received a rather unsolicited call from a number I didn’t recognise. The person on the line was looking to have a chat with someone named George. Upon telling them there was no George here, the caller cheekily stated, “You’ll do just fine!” I reiterated that I was in the middle of something and couldn’t engage, yet the young lady persisted. I then informed her that I was currently enjoying my dinner and would prefer to keep the conversation short, but she just kept on talking. Eventually, I mentioned my belief that cold calling might not be above board legally. To my astonishment, she shot back with a threat, saying, “If you refuse to cooperate, I’ll share your number with over a hundred other companies just like mine, and you might have to change your number.” That was the final straw, and I firmly told her to “bugger off!” before hanging up. It's really quite disheartening dealing with such persistent individuals. What on earth can be done about these nuisances?

someone rang me saying they were from ‘beneficial’, some sort of uk lifestyle survey to cut down on spam calls. they kept insisting id find the call really helpful and asked if they could go on with the questions. when i asked where they found my number, they gave the usual excuse about it coming from a survey or someone else entering it, which we all know is rubbish. then they just went silent on the line so i hung up.

I picked up the phone, thinking it could be in connection with my mortgage application I submitted recently. Turns out, it wasn’t anything of the sort. It was a firm named Beneficial, and honestly, it sounded like a chaotic call centre. The woman on the other end was reading from a script, and I could hardly make out what she was saying. It became too frustrating, so I decided to end the call. I've now added the number to my blocked list.

I’ve just had a rather bothersome call from this number. When I mentioned I wasn’t keen on what they were offering, he persisted incessantly. After I repeated my disinterest, he had the audacity to imply that if I didn’t play along, I’d be receiving calls from them daily! I called it out as harassment and pressed him for the name of the company, but he flat-out refused to divulge that information. Quite unbelievable, really!
