Scam alert - Some woman called Kate Chamberlain, real pushy, claimed she needed to discuss an accident I supposedly had (which I didn’t). Then she just ended the call. Really rude and talking way too fast. Added to BLOCK straight away.

Got a call from some group called beneficial, they wanted to quiz me about my lifestyle. I said nah, not interested and told them to take me off their list. Then they rang again but from the same number just ending in 1222. So yeah, both those numbers are blocked now.

I've been plagued by a bothersome caller who insists on speaking to someone named Alan. Whenever I inform them that I'm not Alan, they proceed to request I fill out a survey. Every time I ask them to remove my number from their database, they simply hang up. It's getting ridiculous! I've lost count of how many times I’ve received calls from this number, and the last four digits keep changing. To top it off, I've also been receiving texts addressing me as Alan. What a nuisance!

I receive around twenty calls weekly, incessantly pestering me despite my repeated requests to remove my details from their records. I've taken the step of reporting this number as well.

They said it was something helpful and that they got my number from a survey I supposedly filled out. I don’t recall doing any survey though. The person on the line promised to take my details off their list. The caller sounded like they were overseas and talking from some kind of call centre.

At midday on 23rd May 2018, got a call from this number. It came through on my work phone, so I wasn’t too keen to pick up, thinking it was probably spam. There was complete silence when I answered, so I just ended the call. Looked it up online, found this site and decided to block the number. Sorted now!

Some guy rang me about how expensive funerals are in the UK now. I told him to stop messing about as I’m actually laying my mum to rest tomorrow. Honestly, where do these muppets think they’re coming in! And how on earth did he get hold of my number?

Got a call meant for someone else, not the phone owner, and the person started grilling me for my info. I told them they had no business asking and to stop calling me. They hung up, but then called back right away and as soon as I picked up, they just dropped the line. This happened a couple of times.

I received a call today where they actually mentioned my name! If this is a con, how on earth do they know it? I tried calling back, but they didn’t pick up. Curious, isn’t it?

The caller claimed to be from Beneficial and said there would be a recorded part at the end. Then he wanted me to verify my address, which I declined. Next he asked whether I owned or rented my home, but I kept quiet on that too. Then he asked for my age, and again I didn't say. Then he tried to ask if I was between 18 and 30, and I just told him he didn't need to know my age. He said thanks for taking the call and then hung up.

Honestly, the best thing to do is just not pick up on these numbers. I’ve seen loads of comments where people answer and then the call gets dropped - sounds like they’re just trying to see if the number is live. Once you do answer, they’ll probably keep ringing you back. No clue what they’re even pretending to be about. Couldn’t be anything urgent since they never bother leaving a voicemail, right? Just ignore and move on.

Got a call from a lady speaking with an American accent, she asked for me by name. She said she was conducting a survey for some Consumer group and wanted to check my postcode. I told her I wasn’t giving that info and ended the call straight away. Then, the same number called again after a few hours, so I just blocked it.

Watch out! My partner got a call from this number but luckily he didn’t pick up since we always look up unknown numbers here first. Then, within a couple minutes, we got another call from 01482293978 which is also dodgy. Feels like they might be linked since it’s odd for two suspicious calls to come one after the other like that.

Pretty obvious spam, so I don’t pick up calls from numbers I don’t know. My voicemail even says something like: “If this number’s not familiar, I’m not gonna answer. Leave a message if it’s important. If you’re just ringing to bother me, well looks like I’m already ahead of you. Cheers!”
