I have BT’s call blocking on my landline and it actually works, but my phone is just an old Vodafone that only makes and gets calls - no blocking at all. So I looked up the number and it showed as coming from Santa Cruz, Tenerife. After digging a bit more, turns out it was a timeshare sales call from Los Cristianos, Tenerife.

I gave the number a ring and a woman picked up saying something like "I love my Office" or maybe "Offers," I couldn’t be sure. She asked who I wanted to talk to so I could be connected properly. Then there was a list of options, one of which was press 2 to take your details off their records. After pressing 2, I got connected to Customer Service, but the accent made me think they were based in India or somewhere similar.

Been getting calls from this number every night for a week now. They always hang up as soon as I pick up. Tonight I finally answered but stayed silent, then a woman said “Hello?” I waited a bit before responding, and then she instantly ended the call. My phone shows they’re calling from Leeds.

Been getting loads of calls daily from 0113457 but the last numbers switch up everytime. I keep hitting ignore but they ring straight back almost before I even put my phone down, proper annoying cos no 1 talks! Think next time imma just tell em to jog on instead of saying hello then block like I always do.

Just a little advice from me, ive started using a BT advanced call blocker at home and its actually really good. If the number isnt in my contacts, they have to pass a call screening that asks them to say who they are before I pick up. If they manage that, I can choose to answer or just block them straight away. For my mobile ive set it so when I dont pick up it redirects to another phone number, and get this - ive set it to go to a scammers line so basically the scammer ends up trying to scam another scammer lol.

This number kept ringing me a few times and I picked up today, first thing I got was some automated voice, then a bloke called 'Alex' with a foreign accent came on. Couldn't make out what he was saying or who he was representing at all. The only clear bit was him repeating 'I'm not selling anything'. He tried asking my address but got it wrong, then he guessed my age group and that was way off too. I didn’t share any details, just ended the call and blocked the number. What a pest!

I keep receiving calls from different 0133 457 **** numbers at all sorts of times throughout the day, really irritating. I wish there was a way to put an end to these calls. I once picked up to find out who it was, but it was a Spanish lady whose accent I couldn't quite catch. Luckily, she wasn’t trying to sell me anything but had my name and address and just wanted to verify the details.

This number keeps ringing me nearly every day for weeks straight. Blocking it doesn't work since they call from loads of different numbers. PRO TIP: On most mobile phones, you can block entire prefixes, not just single numbers. I've blocked all numbers starting with 0113457, and since then, the calls have stopped coming through! They still try every day, which I can see from my phone’s spam filter, but at least they don’t get through. Hope this little trick helps some of you out!
