This number has rung me like 15 times in just two weeks! Every time it’s either some survey or something about my life insurance. I just ramble some awful French back at them and it seems to do the trick!

Just got a call, could hear the call centre noise in the background, after about 10 seconds I said if you’re not gonna talk me, then jog on! They just said alright!

Got a call from this number, bloke said “Steven here,” “I’m with Marks & Spencer,” and “Just checking your details.” How on earth would they have any info on me? Then he just hung up. Seems like they just pick any name, Steven? Sounded like an Asian accent to me. Definitely added this number to my block list - the irony isn’t lost on me!

Got a call at 8:15 on a Saturday from Marks and Spencers! They asked me to confirm my address, I said no but told them to go on anyway, then they just hung up on me!

I received a call from a gentleman with an Asian accent who not only mentioned my name but also had my address on hand. He confirmed it was indeed me and then proceeded to inform me that I would be getting a call regarding my washing machine. After that, he abruptly ended the call. Quite peculiar, if you ask me!

Got a call from a guy who had an Asian accent, he asked straight away if he was speaking to me by name. Then he rattled off my address and checked if that was correct. I said yes, and he just said someone would ring me about my washing machine before cutting me off. Bit weird if you ask me.

Got a random call from an unknown number today. I just hit Answer and left my phone down without saying a word. A bloke on the other end said "hello" a few times, then after realising I wasn’t going to reply, he said "goodbye" and ended the call after about 14 seconds. That’s 14 seconds they weren’t trying to scam someone out of their hard-earned cash. These awful scammers value time like money, so I reckon we should all try to drag out their calls whenever they ring, to stop anyone more trusting getting ripped off.

Said they were calling from Aviva about a life insurance policy, asked for a subject access request and then just ended the call.

They said they were checking over my Legal & General policy, which I'd only just signed up to, and mentioned they'd be sending paperwork through the post to complete it. They asked for my name and phone number, said they didn’t have my email but that was no problem. Then when they wanted my DOB, I refused to give it. They made some annoyed sound and quickly ended the call. Sounds very dodgy to me, and after reading the other reviews here, I'm glad I didn’t give away anything more than they already had. Definitely be careful with calls like this.

When I pressed her, she said she was ringing from "Protect Life" or something like that. But when I asked what the call was about, she just went quiet. Apart from checking that the number is active, what’s the point of these calls if they don’t actually explain anything? Honestly, what’s the use of the Telephone Preference Service then? Blocked now.

You’d think by now they’d have figured out which numbers aren’t worth their time. They try to pressure you by saying they’re speaking for your existing Life Insurance, but that’s totally not true!!

Got a call from 01134579770 on 3rd May around 12.04. The person knew my name and asked if I had an Aviva policy, but I didn’t want to answer and as soon as I said that, they just hung up. Tried ringing back and it went straight to voicemail saying all agents were busy. Feels really dodgy to me, probably a scam. This sort of thing shouldn’t be allowed to carry on.

They claimed to be from Aviva and Legal & General. They also said they were FCA registered and called themselves Life QC, but that name doesn’t seem to be real. This looks like a proper scam and they should be shut down asap.

I received a call from this number that I missed, and there was a rather weak voicemail that was tough to make out. If I recall correctly, they mentioned something about a certain company based in the U.K. It made me wonder why they’re avoiding taxes in the Cayman Islands. Mind you, it’s probably a bit nicer climate there!
