Motor Legal has unlawfully snagged my personal information from the RAC after one of our cars was picked up by them. The RAC insists they don’t trade in personal data, which leaves us with a couple of unsettling possibilities: either Motor Legal is getting hold of this information without the RAC’s approval, or there’s a serious data protection oversight on RAC's part. When I probed them for basic details such as their name, address, company registration number, and email, they flat-out refused to share any contact information. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I had a rather unfortunate incident with my car and a representative from this company got in touch, creating the impression that they were associated with the leasing firm that was meant to assist me. To make matters worse, they assigned a solicitor without me realising it; I ended up signing a legal form sent through email. I'm absolutely livid that the caller deceived me into thinking he was part of my existing support team. Subsequently, I found myself having to call them back to request that a manager reach out to me. The wait continues. I've also had to contact the solicitor they designated to express my concerns about the misleading information and to clarify that I do not wish for them to represent me in any capacity. So, take heed!

I stumbled upon some details regarding a recent car crash in the accident register, and it appeared they were claiming to be reaching out on behalf of the insurance company. However, I can assure you, they certainly weren't acting on their behalf.
