I usually don’t pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise, especially if they say they’re calling from that dodgy place called Leeds. Had a bad feeling it was some sort of scam before I even bothered to look it up. I’ve just blocked the number now.

He mentioned booking an appointment and abruptly ended the call. These scammers have targeted me before, but legal action did not seem to deter them. Some bloke named David rang me, claiming he was a roofer and selling farceurs or something. He sounded like he was working on a block of flats or whatever. Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent. He asked for my husband by name and claimed we’d recently got a quote for roof repairs, which we definitely did not. Then he said someone would ring tomorrow and "we better be home"!!! I grabbed the phone and said we weren’t interested. The bloke then said “you got wood fascias, love” and that was the last straw - I told him to show some respect and stop calling me love. I repeated we weren’t interested and said if anyone rang tomorrow, the Police would be waiting. Ended the call straight away.

Utterly fed up with this lot of cold callers who just phone then stay silent. It's been really distressing for my elderly folks. If you’ve got free minutes on your plan, give them a taste of their own medicine by ringing back and not saying a word. They seem to get really rattled. She assured me that her company wasn't selling anything but was interested in ensuring houses were energy efficient. Apparently, they wanted to check for any water damage in the walls. She informed me that someone would be sent to my house for an inspection and that her colleague would call to confirm the appointment. However, I never received any further calls, so I assumed it was a scam. To confirm my suspicion, I decided to search their phone number online and discovered that many other people had also received similar calls.

Got a call yesterday evening from 01134199836 - Normally, I check the caller ID and don’t pick up if it’s an unknown number, but this time I answered by mistake. I could hear some chatter in the background before they just hung up. Another annoying call! Really wish the government would take action on this... Got a call at 8.15pm on June 6th, 2017. They seemed to know my name and where I lived. Claimed they’d left some kind of energy tester and would be back tomorrow to collect it. We told them we weren’t interested. Then they rudely insisted they’d come round at 2pm no matter what! I rang the local cops and they said it sounded like harassment. Also, the number was supposed to be from Leeds, but the digits after 0113 didn’t match any Leeds codes. Looks like a fake or spoofed number.

The incident occurred on the 6th of June 2017 at 8:15 PM. An individual called and had our name and address. They claimed to have left an energy tester and mentioned they would be coming to retrieve it the following day. We politely declined their offer, stating we were not interested. However, they responded rudely, stating they would be at our house regardless at 2 PM! Feeling concerned about the situation, I immediately contacted the local police. They confirmed that it was indeed a case of harassment, as the caller's number appeared to be from Leeds but the series of digits following "0113" did not belong to the Leeds area. Instead, it seemed to be a randomly generated number.

When I asked where they got my number from on the TPS, they said it's on their MARKETING system. So they openly admit to marketing to people on the TPS and just don't care.
