Received a call this evening - didn’t pick up, as I reckon if someone’s authentic enough to be calling from an unfamiliar number, they would leave a message if it’s important. After looking it up on this site, I’ve decided to block the number. However, it's puzzling me: my phone switches to ‘do not disturb’ at six o’clock; how on earth did this call manage to slip through?

I got a call from the road traffic incident helpline about a crash I was involved in. Honestly, I was a bit sceptical at first, but they turned out to be genuinely helpful, just trying to get the compensation that's already been arranged for me. Can't really complain about that! They emailed me some legal papers which was pretty straightforward to deal with. Now I’m just hanging about for the cheque to arrive - way easier than dealing with solicitors that always seem to make things so complicated.

I've received two calls already from someone named Harry, who says he's with the Road Accident Incident Unit. He insisted he was representing my insurance provider (which he actually mentioned the second time he rang). It seems he’s trying to reel me in for some sort of compensation claim.

I got a call from someone pretending to be the road traffic incident hotline, but I later found out there's no such firm. They said I had a payout waiting from a supposed accident. When I called them out on it and ended the call, they started calling me back repeatedly and got really rude.

Got a call from some guy who just hollered "yeeehaaa" down the line. Sounds like a bunch of cowboys to me!

This bloke called, quite rude actually, and asked if I was 'Prince Charles'. That set me off a bit. Then he started accusing me of faking the accident I had - said it was all a scam, even though I was hit by a stolen vehicle. When I told him to leave me alone, he rang back sounding proper aggressive, threatening to track me down and report me for fraud. Said I'd be hearing from him more soon. Quite intimidating, to say the least.

I received a phone call today from what turned out to be an accident claims hotline, and when I requested to be removed from their calling list, the individual on the other end became quite confrontational. He resorted to name-calling, referring to me as a foolish woman and telling me to be quiet! To my dismay, he wouldn’t disclose either his name or the name of his company. This incident occurred on 28th February 2017 at 15:17. It’s really disheartening that such individuals can operate in this manner. I’m feeling quite distressed about the whole experience.

When I asked them to remove me from their call list, they not only refused but started insulting me, calling me a stupid cow and worse. I tried to get the caller's name and the company they were representing, but they wouldn’t say. It’s really shocking how people can behave like this and get away with it.
