Got a call from this number on 17th October at about 12:10. I picked up and as soon as the person said 'hello', I replied straightaway with 'HELLO THIS IS GREATER MANCHESTER POLICE CALL TRACING, HOW CAN I ASSIST YOU?' The caller hung up right away. You can make up your own mind about how genuine or honest these calls are.

I recently had a rather frustrating experience concerning boiler insurance. A representative reached out, claiming that my current policy at £25.99 was about to expire and that I could benefit from some savings. Despite my clear insistence on three separate occasions that I didn’t actually have any boiler insurance, they kept pressing me. It felt very much like a charade!

Got a call from 01133308732 around 12.15pm. The woman on the line called me by my name and said my £25.99 monthly boiler insurance policy was about to finish, and they could offer me a cheaper deal. I told her I didn't have any boiler insurance at all, but she kept pushing and ignored what I said. It went on until I had to hang up. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

I had a rather peculiar encounter where a representative claimed that I was enrolled in boiler cover with "National Energy Groups." The truth is, I don’t have any such coverage. She mentioned it was included in an extended two-year warranty, which is simply untrue. I even attempted to do a bit of digging into this so-called company, and to my surprise, it seems there's no trace of them anywhere. Quite fishy, if you ask me!

I got a call earlier claiming I was eligible for a 25% discount on my boiler and heating plan since apparently there hadn't been any call-outs in the last 8 months. When I asked how they knew that, they said my regular service provider had informed them. Seemed a bit fishy to me, so I decided to mess with them for a bit, wasting their time until they eventually gave up and ended the call. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

Got a call today about boilers and central heating from some "Heating Services" company, but I don’t even have them installed. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, they just said sorry for the mistake and promised to remove me from their calling list. This is the second time they've called me today - really annoying! 🤬🤬🤬

I had a rather unsettling experience with a certain company that was peddling service contracts. They seemed to possess an alarming amount of my personal details and were keen to sell me a cover for white goods, promoting a rather odd deal of two years for the price of three, but insisted on upfront payment. They asked for my credit card information, which I was none too pleased about. I requested that they send me a contract to review before making any decisions, but surprise, surprise, nothing arrived. Exercise caution, as I suspect this may well be a scam. I mentioned that I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service, which usually makes these chancers back off, but shockingly, this bloke continued his pitch and even passed the call to his supervisor. It seemed clear that he was not at all familiar with the TPS guidelines. I had a brief chat with the supervisor, reiterated my request for a written contract, and then the line went dead. Quite the shady operation, if you ask me!

I got a call from a woman who said her name was Mary and she was really pushy about lowering my monthly heating bill. I made it clear I wanted to stick with British Gas, but she insisted that her firm followed all the same rules as British Gas. She was convinced she was doing me a favour by saving me cash and just wouldn't accept a refusal. The only way to stop her was to just put the phone down.

My landline keeps getting these calls, and the other day, when I answered, a woman spoke at first before passing the phone to a bloke. He claimed he was from some boiler repair company, but he was talking in an Indian accent. He tried to sound like a proper English gent, but I could tell right away it was a scam. Definitely a con artist trying to rip me off.

It turns out this landline number is linked to TGL Services (UK) Ltd. It's noteworthy that 0113 330 8732 has been flagged as coming from a call centre in Leeds, and the reports are brimming with distressing keywords: scam has been mentioned seven times, boiler scheme seven times as well, alongside heating and call centre mentions. I intercepted a call that my wife, who suffers from dementia, unfortunately answered. I didn’t manage to join the conversation in time to discern the caller's identity, but the message conveyed was certainly alarming. They were claiming to be contacting us regarding our boiler and central heating coverage, suggesting that due to my lack of claims over the past one-and-a-half years, I was eligible for a discount on my premiums - now offered at the tempting price of £24.99 a month. However, the caller insisted that before proceeding, they needed to verify that the details they had on record matched mine. I can only assume that these details included my bank account and debit card information, which they likely wanted to update! At that point, I simply hung up. It's worth noting that the caller had a distinct Welsh accent, and although the nature of the call hinted at a script being followed, there was something in her delivery that suggested English wasn’t her first language. With the circumstances being what they were, it certainly raised my suspicions about the legitimacy of the call - feeling very much like a potential scam.

Got a call from a lady who spoke really clearly, asking for me by name. She said it was regarding the yearly service and upkeep for my boiler. I told her the heating’s fine. Then she said she was glad to hear that but got quite shocked when I mentioned we don’t actually have a boiler since we use electric heating. After that, she just ended the call.
