They keep ringing me over and over for weeks but never bother to leave a voicemail.

Got a call at one bloody am claiming to be from Lloyds Bank, saying there's some issue with credit card charges. Told them that’s odd because I’m not even a Lloyds customer, don’t own a credit card and should be asleep instead of putting up with dodgy calls late at night. Blocked their number straight away 😡

She began asking about fees on my bank account, but I told her I always refuse those offers. She was quite polite and said that was probably a good idea and she wouldn’t bother me further. Sounds like she might've been trying to get people interested in some ppi claim or, worse, a scam to get banking info. Either way, I didn’t get any more details.

No clue who this lot are or how they managed to get hold of my number, but the woman said her name was Grace and mentioned scc or sumthin like that. I asked what the company actually does and all she said was “financial” which made me annoyed. Told her straight to take my number off their list. I don’t get how they’re finding my number, especially since I only just changed it recently to avoid call like this and now they’re back at it again.

He said he was from the fcc. When I said it was a scam, he got really angry. Tried to get my bank details. I kept saying scam scam. Then he went quiet, I’d already muted the call. I heard him mumble something like “these ones are tricky.” Then he hung up.

Just got a call from them. They had no clue who I was. Told the operator I hadn’t requested the call and that I don’t deal with unsolicited calls. She claimed it wasn’t a cold call. A business rang me up to do a survey, so I played along just to see where it went. I didn’t put in my real details, but somehow my number got passed around. For almost a year now, I’ve been getting calls from loads of different numbers. One was from Economy Energy trying to get me to sign up, another wanted my address and they said they were calling from India. Then there was one saying they were Virgin Media, asking for personal info. I’m pretty sure it’s the survey people who sold my number to over a hundred firms because I gave them a fake name I’d remember as a scam.

Got a call from a woman who sounded like she had a nearly genuine English accent, asking for a Mr Mitchell. I told her she’d got the wrong number ‘cos I’m definitely not him. I received a call on my mobile from this number earlier today. A woman on the other end identified herself as being from a firm called PBI and inquired if I was familiar with them. I replied in the negative and informed her that I was currently busy at work, unable to speak at that moment. Having a gander at the remarks here, I’m rather relieved I chose not to pick up. I’ve taken to adding this number to my rather extensive list of timewasters, which is steadily accumulating a right assortment of bothersome characters that I’ve no intention of engaging with.

Haha, so I got one of those dumb sales calls the other day. Got so fed up I just kept calling them back over and over, like maybe a hundred times. Whenever someone picked up after just one ring, I’d hang up straight away. Such a waste of time!
