Got a call from someone claiming to be part of the housing repairs team, checking if I needed any fixes done. When I asked what housing association they were with, they just dodged the question and changed the subject. Ended up hanging up, felt sketchy as hell! 🤬

Got a call from someone claiming to be "Gillingham Gutter Cleaning Service". The bloke had an English accent but was a bit muffled, so I asked him to say it again, which he did. I told him I’m registered with the TPS and don’t want these calls. It’s a total scam because the number showed as from Leeds, nowhere near Gillingham, and definitely not a local mobile. Honestly, the only gutter that needs cleaning is the one they’re ringing from. Blocked the number straight away.

This is the third time today I’ve got a dodgy call. Didn’t answer but looked it up here to see if it's a scam.

Got a call from what looked like a Leeds number, but they said they were from Reading, which is ages away, like 180 miles or something. They tried to convince me they were a local gutter cleaning firm. Seemed fishy to me, definitely not legit.

Got a ring from a lass asking if I needed any fixes done around the house. I asked her a few times if she was ringing from the council, but she kept dodging the question. Told her I’d check first and then get back to her. Went straight to this site, typed in the number, and saw all the bad reviews. I picked up and a bloke asked for Mr or Mrs ********. I replied with "Who are you trying to reach?" then he just hung up. Seems like he realised he wasn’t gona get anywhere. I’ve blocked the number now. No clue what sort of scam it was meant to be; I had been searching for gutter cleaning services online recently and also am an Amazon Prime member. From what I’ve seen in other reviews, this number is marked as dodgy.

Some bloke called saying he was from a gutter cleaning company, and the creepy part was he knew my name straight away. When I said my gutters didn’t need anything done, he just ended the call super fast. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call on the home phone earlier and as soon as I answered, there was some sort of redirect noise, like it was hooking me up to the next scammer in line. I ended up hanging up straight away before anyone could say a word. We've been bombarded with dodgy calls about gutter cleaning, fake Amazon Prime offers, and bogus white goods insurance lately, so I’m pretty sure it was just another one of those.

I just let them start talking first, then I jump in asking if they’re gutter cleaners or maybe from Amazon or some white goods insurance thing. Most times it throws them off pretty quick. It’s a bit of a laugh for me. After that, I just hang up and block the number.

Someone said they were from a nearby gutter cleaning firm and offered a service I was after for a decent price. They already knew my name and where I lived. We settled on a price and a day, and they said their customer service team would call me back in about ten minutes to confirm. That callback never came, probably because my call blocker stopped them. The number they called from actually belongs to a tax company, so I reckon it's a scam and the real trick happens when they eventually try to call back.

I received a call from someone claiming to be based in Woking, offering to clean my gutters. I mentioned that we weren't in need of that service, but they hung up before I could even finish my sentence. Quite rude, really!

Got a call where they asked for me by name and even knew my right address. The person said they were from a gutter cleaning company and mentioned they’d be working on my street the following week, doing some gutter jobs for the neighbours. They offered to clean my gutters and check the downpipes for £99 including VAT, saying it was £60 off if I paid after the job was done. I said no thanks, nicely. The caller seemed pretty legit, and there was no background noise that made it sound like a call centre or anything.
