Received a dodgy call from someone claiming to be from HMRC, alleging that my name was linked to some fraudulent activity. He insisted I press 1 to prevent any legal action against me. He then urged me to ring back to speak with a so-called case officer about rectifying the situation. I've blocked the number straight away!

Got a call about green energy stuff, kept going on about how it was all funded or something. No idea where they found my number. Honestly, sick of these scam calls every day.

Someone rang me calling me “precious” as a way to figure out my name. They said they were working with a government-backed Green solar panel programme and asked if I earned less than 30k to check if I could get funding. I’ve never heard of cold calls being made like this for government schemes before. I’m now putting my number on the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) list to block these annoying calls.

Got a call saying they're from a housing repair service but I never rented anywhere. Normally, any repairs go straight through my estate agent and I get official emails to confirm. Definitely feels dodgy, watch out, looks like a scam!

I just got a call from someone saying they're from HMRC, telling me there's been some dodgy activity under my name and to hit 1 on my phone. Sounds like a scam to me.
