I've got my phone account under the name J. F. Perry, and I’ve made sure to register it with the national Do Not Disturb list since its inception. However, over the past week and a half, I’ve been inundated with at least four calls each day from numbers such as 011-111-1111 and 200-222-2222. We’ve answered a few and let the answering machine handle the others, but there’s never anyone on the other end of the line. As someone with disabilities, these incessant calls are extremely distressing for us. Aren't such callers meant to be filtered out?

It’s rather peculiar, isn't it? This phone number was provided by Jobcentre Plus for the purpose of scheduling an interview. However, the number seems a bit dodgy. I’ve taken a peek at an identity search engine, and all I've stumbled upon are grievances regarding phone scams. Nevertheless, I intend to give this number a bell later today to clarify what’s really going on. Curious times indeed!

I received a call at about half-past four from this number, which I noted down as it was unfamiliar. I tried reaching out to them on the landline with 1571, hoping to catch a message. However, all they did was ring and absentmindedly hang up, leaving me nothing to go on. Quite puzzling, really!

I received an error message the moment I dialled because 011 is an illegal area code and seems to have been faked. Any reputable business wouldn’t go about masking their own phone number. It’s advisable to approach the caller with caution, as they might be up to no good.

A rather pushy individual on the other end mentioned that I’d been nominated for R5000.00 worth of shares in the JSE that I could supposedly reinvest. When I requested to chat with a manager to sort out the particulars, they abruptly ended the call. Quite suspicious, don’t you think?

Absolutely! The other evening, around 19:42 Indonesian time, there was a missed call from this number, and it left me utterly perplexed. I haven't the faintest idea who might be trying to reach me. It's quite an unusual number for us. Is there anyone who can shed some light on this?

Suffice to say, I answered the call out of sheer curiosity, only to set the receiver down shortly after. A minute later, it seems they decided to ring again while I was still on the line, but as luck would have it, they hung up - again! What a strange occurrence this is… who can tell what’s going on?
