6 yearsMy brother-in-law was told to pay R950 for some medical thing and was told the job was his right away because of COVID. They asked him to send proof of payment along with a police clearance. The address they gave is in Alberton but there was no actual street, just a PO Box. I warned him not to go ahead with it. The company called just "Electrician" and it doesn’t show up anywhere on Google. After I looked up the number, I knew it was a total SCAM. Don’t fall for this, no real job will ask you to pay money upfront.Google6 yearsI applied for a job on Indeed and then got a call from this number. They said I needed to send R950 to some Mr L Nkayi for medical clearance stuff. After I paid, they just vanished! Total scam, be careful.. L NKayi7 yearsMy sister fell for this too, I had no idea until I looked up some info. They emailed her saying she needed to pay R410 for a criminal record check plus R810 for somewhere to stay. They told her to wait until they sent a confirmation letter with the address.7 yearsI got a letter from them saying I’d passed the first stage and needed to pay R410 for a lie detector test. It didn’t feel right, so I tried looking up the company and couldn’t find anything. Total scam!7 yearsI ended up handing over R410 after they said I got the job, but then they asked me to pay R810 in advance for accommodation. That’s when I thought, hang on, this feels dodgy. Bl**dy hell, I got scammed! They also use another number, 0656087573, and the name Mr Kabelo Mckenzie, with the account number 62822830586. It’s crazy, they ask you to pay R370 or R750 upfront but weirdly they don’t share their bank details openly - you gotta ring them up to get the account number, which feels dodgy.
