I've just received two calls from individuals claiming to prevent scam phone calls. It puzzled me why they insisted on obtaining my card number without providing any relevant information. Additionally, one of them mentioned coming over to my location within an hour, stating that he was in Wembley, WA. However, considering the considerable distance between Wembley and my area, it would take around three hours to travel.

Kindly, everyone, could you please share this message?

I recently received a call from someone trying to scam me through my landline phone. The call was made from the number 01002. The individual I spoke with had a distinct Indian accent and identified himself as Shaun. This scammer will attempt to ask you various questions relating to your household.

I urge you all not to disclose any information to them, as their sole intention is to acquire your personal details!!!!

A woman approached me, posing as a representative from a company promising to combat fraudulent phone calls. She requested my Visa card's expiration date and the name on the card. Strangely enough, she was already aware of my personal details like my name and address. Upon asking for a contact number to verify her credentials, she provided me with an entirely random 13-digit number that turned out to be nonfunctional. It became evident that these individuals were scammers looking to deceive innocent people.

They assured us that they would put an end to all marketing phone calls for good, and they were well aware of my name and address. However, once they began discussing a Visa card, I immediately ended the call.

I received a call from a number starting with 01002, and it was a woman with a thick northern accent claiming to be from Three. She was inquiring about our mobile phone usage and proposed that she could help us save some money on our bills. We mentioned that being a Three customer, he should already have access to our usage data, so we kindly declined to share any personal information and hung up.

I received a call from a man who identified himself as being from Microsoft. He asked me to turn on my computer because there was supposedly a necessary download to prevent any potential hacking. However, his manner of speaking wasn't professional, and he didn't even know my name. I promptly informed him I was very busy and ended the call. It definitely seems like a scam to me. I plan on contacting both Microsoft and the police to report this incident. These calls can be quite intimidating, especially since they occur at various times throughout the day. I highly recommend reporting them and requesting your telephone provider to block these numbers, as I am currently doing.

I received a call from this number recently, but I remember them calling me around the same time last year. They insisted that I pay more than £300 to resolve an issue. Upon hearing this, I ended the call. However, they persisted in calling me and their relentless actions drove me to tears. Eventually, they managed to hack into my computer and disabled it completely. As a result, I had to purchase a new computer. It is important for everyone to be cautious of this scam because the individuals behind it are genuinely unpleasant.

I've been receiving calls from this number on a daily basis. Usually, I let them ring, but on the odd occasion when I do pick up, the line disconnects immediately. However, just yesterday, a gentleman informed me that he was ringing regarding my computer. He claimed there were illegal files on it and that I needed to update my IP address. Before I could respond, the call abruptly ended. I suspect this might be a scam of some sort.

I received a call from this number earlier, and after going through everyone's comments, it seems like it might be connected to some sort of central call centre. It appears that my number is listed somewhere on record, prompting them to ring me up. When I pick up, if there's an operator available, they will engage in conversation with me. If not, I simply get left hanging with a buzz or the line drops. Quite a curious situation, really!

We've been experiencing difficulties with our new laptop ever since my wife turned it on. Unfortunately, someone managed to gain access to it and installed some unnecessary software. Thankfully, removing the software was a straightforward task. However, they also caused false warnings that upset my wife to the point of tears. When they attempted to contact her again, she immediately ended the call. They persist in calling, sometimes staying silent when she answers, and when she picked up next time, I was there with her. I inquired if there was a problem, to which they admitted there was an issue with our computer or laptop. In response, I firmly told them to go away, at which point they expressed shock over my choice of words. I stood my ground and hung up. These individuals are truly bothersome; I believe they should find something more meaningful to occupy their time.

I've been receiving calls from this particular number for the past few days. Eventually, I decided to answer and it sounded like the typical computer scam. I let him continue for a while and then mentioned that I had actually been burgled a week ago and no longer had a computer. Surprisingly, he expressed some concern and said, "How could they do that to someone so beautiful?" I responded by asking him how he knew I was beautiful. His reply was strange, saying, "I can see you." It became quite creepy, so I quickly ended the call.

I received a phone call today inquiring about my stepfather, who used to reside at this address but passed away 8 years ago. The caller introduced themselves as a representative from Windows and suggested that I switch on my computer and click 'START'. However, my computer was already turned on. Suspecting something fishy, I asked the caller for the name of their company. They responded with "Global Technical Support". Curious, I further inquired about their location. They claimed to be based in Berkshire, Reading (!). Sensing deceit, I asked for their address. There was some whispering in the background before the call abruptly ended. Based on my knowledge, I strongly believe that this was the initial stage of a notorious scam where fraudsters aim to extort payment by fabricating computer issues and offering support services. Fortunately, I had previously heard about such scams and was able to identify this one for what it was.
