Last Friday it was non-stop ringing almost every minute for over an hour straight, filling up my call log completely. Luckily, my call blocker kept stopping the calls from getting through.

I kept ringing my workplace about 60 times, but whenever someone picked up, no one said a thing.

Last night our office phone got 17 calls from a number starting with 1001. Every time we answered, the call wouldn’t go through, so we just decided to ignore the rest.

Our voicemail picked up the calls straight away, but they kept on ringing non stop. It felt a bit like harassment. do you think it could be some kind of automated system waiting for a specific response or code?

I've just received a call from this number, "1001." We chose not to respond because we couldn't quite figure out what this number was about. So, I took it upon myself to do a bit of digging, which led me straight to this site.

We’ve received what appears to be the same 1001 number, but it seems to be a return call linked to a locksmith company we're awaiting a response from. It’s possible this is some sort of blocked number that’s still showing up as an actual number.

Received a call from this number while I was in Singapore. I answered, but there was complete silence on the other end. I nearly hung up straight away after picking it up.

Over the past fortnight, we've noticed three mysterious calls on our AT&T mobile with Caller ID showing +1001, and another one popped up as +1006. It's all a bit odd, isn’t it? Beware of this individual! He goes by the name of Comedian Scott White and may come across as harmless, but that's far from the truth. If you don’t hand over cash, he’ll relentlessly bombard you with calls until you feel compelled to change your number. Then, he’ll haunt you and make your life a misery until you resort to involving the police. Consider yourself warned!

+1001 received a call from this number just a moment ago. I inquired about who was calling, but received no response. Quite frustrated, I decided to end the call. Now, I'm unable to trace its origin...

I've just had a rather unsettling experience with a phone call from a number I didn’t recognise. The caller claimed to be from Los Angeles, but the whole thing felt a bit dodgy. He had my name and email, which made me feel rather exposed. When I pressed him about how he obtained that information, it became evident that he hadn’t disclosed his identity, the company he supposedly represented, or even the nature of his business until I specifically asked. His claim was rather alarming-he said that hackers had gained access to my computer and that it was on the verge of crashing. He insisted that he wasn’t trying to sell me anything but merely needed me to be at my computer to follow his instructions. When I inquired about his background, he mentioned that his parents were from Nigeria. I asked for his name, and he responded with "Jack Smith," but I decided to hang up before he could even attempt to spell it out. Quite the suspicious encounter, if you ask me!

I just had a rather odd phone call from #1001. I picked up the phone in a bit of a flurry, thinking it might be my husband, and I wanted to catch it before it went to voicemail. To my surprise, I heard an automated voice claiming to be from MasterCard, saying that there had been some kind of breach on my card. They insisted I press one to speak with their fraud department. Honestly, it was clearly a scam, seeing as I don’t even hold a MasterCard!
