It was definitely a scam, not Virgin Media. My husband actually works for Virgin Media and they never call asking for personal details or act all clueless about who they’re speaking to. They wanted my full address and postcode and when I said they were scammers, the caller got really shaky. Then I spoke to another guy who tried the same trick but I just ended the call. Feels like a scam using leaked info, if you ask me. Virgin really ought to take responsibility and show they’re serious about sorting this mess out.

This number has been blowing up my phone all week now, it’s really starting to get on my nerves.

Got a call from +8001836403 a couple of times on my mobile on the 1st of June but ignored it. Then it called me again on the 2nd June, still didn’t pick up. Ended up blocking the number after that.

they keep calling me claiming to be from virgin media, which is total rubbish. FYI for anyone out there: virgin media don’t ring you first, you have to ring them if you want anything sorted. so if some company is phoning you to try and sell stuff instead of the other way around, it’s very likely a scam - like, 9 times out of 10.

This creepy number keeps ringing me all the time. I finally picked up just to tell them to stop, and guess what? They just hung up on me. Now, they’re calling from another one, similar but with some different digits. Honestly, with everything crazy happening in the world, I don’t need these annoying calls too!

Had calls coming in from 008001836403 for like four days straight, but they only rang twice each time before just cutting off. Then the number stopped calling at all.

The caller said they were with Virgin Media, but something felt off. I checked the number they rang me from and could tell it wasn’t legit. When they asked for me by my real name, I just told them they had the wrong person.

Total scam, they were asking for my card info and address stuff, trying to get all my details. Don’t trust them at all.

Got a missed call on 23rd December 2019.

Didn’t get to answer the call, so I tried calling back. But it just said the number isn’t known. Pretty sure it was some automated marketing call or one of those random generated numbers they use.

I just got off the phone with Virgin Media about an hour back, and now I've missed a call from this number. There's no way it's about a leak or something like that. My guess is it’s either Virgin Media or one of their partner firms trying to push sales. Best to just not bother answering.

I got a call about an hour ago, and as soon as they asked for my address, I just told them no thanks. Honestly, I couldn't make out what the lady was saying at all.
