Got loads of calls from this number but every time it just ends up going to voicemail and they hang up once the message starts playing.

This number seems to ring me incessantly. Whenever I pick up, I’m greeted with a rather curt message on my voicemail - just the word ‘goodbye.’ I've even taken a call or two from what I suspect is the same line, where a chap with a Pakistani accent goes on about my broadband and some blabber regarding unsolicited access or whatnot. I've told him clearly that there's nothing amiss! I truly wish they'd take a hike already.

Talk Talk has clarified that this isn’t one of their numbers. The calling code points to Venezuela. I have a strong feeling it’s merely a scammer aiming to extract personal information. Quite frustrating, if I'm honest!

Had a rather perplexing phone call at precisely 10:10 on the 22nd of April, 2015. The gentleman on the line, whose accent was rather thick, claimed to be representing TalkTalk regarding my broadband services. He then proceeded with the obligatory pleasantries about how my day was going. I found myself having to demand an explanation for his call not once, but twice, before he abruptly disconnected the line. I’ve lodged a complaint with TalkTalk about these persistent interruptions and am left wondering how they ascertain I’m a customer. My email doesn’t give anything away! Does TalkTalk really trade in their clients' telephone numbers? Baroness Harding, your insight would be appreciated. Considering my bills have surged quite dramatically this year, it would be most prudent for TalkTalk to take serious measures to eliminate these bothersome calls being made in their name!

In the past three days, I’ve had seven calls from this number. Strangely enough, nobody ever speaks, and then I’m met with a recorded voice that cheerfully says, “Goodbye!” Quite bizarre, really!

I've received a couple of calls on my home phone over the past couple of days. Each time I picked up, the line went dead, and all I got was a robotic voice saying "Thank you." Very odd!
