This morning I got a call from this number, and the person said they were from BT, claiming someone was trying to hack into my computer. They kept pushing me and when I asked how I could trust them, they mentioned an account number of mine. They told me to switch on my laptop (not tablet) and press the Windows and R keys together. That apparently opened something called teamviewer and I was meant to join a remote session and hit run, but I got cut off two times and nothing really happened. I had to leave the house, so I hung up, but they said they’d ring back on Monday. After looking up the number, I’m definitely not going to answer next time. Can someone please put a stop to these calls?

Got two calls today, 20th October. The first one rang at 8:30 in the morning, I picked up but there was nothing but silence. Then another call came through at 11:51, which I didnt answer. Location is northern Devon area.

Got these dodgy scammers ringing me all the time. Whenever they call, I tell them I’m coming over to India just to sort them out proper, but they keep ringing anyway. So frustrating!

Someone rang saying they were from BT Openreach and wanted me to put some software on my computer to clear out infected files supposedly downloaded. If you mention someone just came to the door, they actually keep you waiting on hold much longer than expected. But if you insist you're in a hurry to get it fixed, they suddenly speed things up :)

Watch out, these lot are total con artists!! They phoned saying they’re from BT openreach and said my internet was infected. They tried to get into my computer. They’re really persistent and sound so legit, but it’s just a scam. Stay sharp!

Got a call from an Indian bloke claiming my wife’s computer was hacked. Bit odd since she doesn’t even own one, but she kept quiet about that. After a while, he seemed to lose interest and mentioned he’d call back once I was home. That was hours ago, and still no sign of him ringing again.

005875453041 keeps ringing me non stop the last few weeks. I hardly ever answer quick enough before it just cuts out. One time they claimed there was an issue with my Windows, so I cheekily asked when they would be coming to fix my kitchen windows. They were proper confused by that! I make sure to keep them on the phone for around half an hour before I hang up - at least this way they’re tied up and can't pester anyone else.

At first, there was this crackly sound like an old telephone line from ages ago... then a guy with an Asian accent said he was calling from BT. I didn't bother sticking around to listen more, told him I wasn’t interested and just ended the call.

I got a call from this number "0058754 53041" and honestly, I don't deal with nonsense or dodgy callers. Told them straight up to speak proper English or leave me alone... that didn't help though, because then someone else came on the line. Same issue, I couldn't make sense of what they were saying at all. Eventually, I had to give them a firm and very British "get lost" and funny enough, they all seemed to get the message loud and clear!

Got a call from a number starting with 005875453041, sounded like an Asian accent and showed up as an international number. First they mentioned something about BT, then the next call was all about hackers supposedly attacking your PC. They tried to guide me through some weird process on the computer. Eventually, switched to someone speaking English who kept asking if my computer was switched on. Total scam, they’re just after your personal info. Ended up with 7 calls from this lot in just one day - proper annoying!

Got a call today from 005 875 453 041. When I picked up, all I could hear was weird beeping and a kind of crackly noise like a messed up voice, then they just ended the call. After seeing what others have said about this number on here, I’m gonna block it straight away. Had issues with my BT broadband earlier, so I told the caller I was actually at the international internet fraud office and asked her to wait a moment while I tracked their number. I made some beeping sounds like I was tracing the call, but then she just ended the call. Bit of a letdown really.

I got a call today from a woman who sounded Asian, saying something about my broadband. I told her my number’s on the Ofcom list and she really shouldn’t be ringing me. Plus, I’m quite happy with my current broadband provider, so I just said goodbye. Since then, that number’s called me three times but no one’s said a word.

Today around 2.44 pm, I got a call on my home phone from a number I didn’t recognise. I ignored it, but later had a look online and found out it’s apparently coming from Venezuela. I’ve since blocked the number to stop any more calls. What I can’t figure out is how they got hold of my landline details and if there’s any way to get my number taken off whatever list they’re using.
