Got a call from this Indian bloke about overpaying on a bank loan. He wanted me to say which bank it was but surely they’d have that info since I’m the one owed money? Total rubbish. I’ve blocked the number already but they keep ringing back. I just keep them on the line cos at least they’re covering the call costs. Told my phone provider about the number as well.

I got a call right when I was waiting for an important phone ring. It sounded like a busy office in the background, but nobody actually answered. Lucky for them, really, cos if I’m free I like to mess about a bit and then give them a proper telling off. If I’m rushed, it’s just a string of swear words that’d shock any proper ‘lady’. Honestly, when I’m on the phone, no one’s getting a polite lady from me!

I kept him hanging on for a bit. He kept saying I owed £5,000 to some big bank, which was pretty close to reality. Still, it quickly became clear he was just playing games, and in the end, he just hung up on me!!

Then, surprisingly, he rang me back trying to set up a time for another call about this supposed refund. I’ll wait and see if he calls again, and when he does, I’ll make sure to tell him exactly what I think about the rubbish he’s spinning - that is, if he dares to ring me back!

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent, going on about a £1,500 PPI refund from a 2004 loan. Never even took out a loan in my life, so I’m pretty sure it’s a scam. He mentioned he’d ring me again with more info, but I’m not holding my breath. Tried ringing the number back and surprise, surprise - it wasn’t recognised. Definitely dodgy.

He was saying something about me owing a refund or something. Didn’t bother listening, just told him I wasn’t interested and ended the call. I received a whopping six calls today, and as a night-shift surgeon, it’s been rather hectic. I got a call from some bloke claiming I took a loan with Lloyds TSB back in 2005 and that I was due some cash. I told him I never had any loan like that and asked him to send proof by email. He replied that he couldn’t send anything through email, only by post. When I asked to speak to his manager, he said he couldn’t hang up the phone. Bit fishy if you ask me.

Got a call from a man claiming to be David, sounded Indian, telling me I’d somehow taken out a loan. I haven’t, obviously. When I tried to end the call, he started swearing and being rude. I’m 70 and don’t need this sort of stress. This is the ninth time this company’s phoned me despite me asking them to stop, and they’re getting pretty nasty and intimidating.

I told them straight away I’d never got a loan there, but they just kept calling back. Sometimes they just hang up, other times they leave these really strange breathing noises on my voicemail. Got a call from some guy with an Indian accent wanting to chat with my sister. I said she’s moved out so he asked for my name, which I didn’t want to give. Similar to what others have mentioned, really. The chap spoke in an awful manner, claiming I had a loan with Lloyds TSB back in 2005 which I'd supposedly settled by 2008. He insisted I was entitled to £1800 because of an excess payment on my PPI. (Absolutely none of it is accurate, mind you). He had all my personal information - my full name, address, and postcode - and seemed keen to obtain further details to allegedly expedite my payout. I told him to simply send the money as is; he shouldn't require anything additional to do that.
