I think it was one of those silent calls, probably 'cos I didn’t pick up quick enough before the voicemail kicked in.

Total scam, mate. Don't trust it for a second.

Got a call from 0037125893318 claiming to be Amazon, saying £99.99 was taken from my account for some service. They told me to press 1 to speak with an 'Amazon agent' if I didn’t agree. I just hung up straight away. A week ago I’d had a nearly identical call from 00336722394121. James.

It seems we've received a rather puzzling call supposedly coming from Ofcom, claiming our broadband was being disconnected. They instructed us to press 1 if we’re with BT, or 2 if we're with a different provider. Quite the inconvenience, I must say!

Got a call from someone claiming to be Ofcom saying our internet would be disconnected. They asked us to press 1 for BT or 2 for other providers. Seemed really dodgy to me.

Got this annoying call claiming £600 taken from my account (why that specific amount? total nonsense) telling me to press 1 to talk to someone - nope, no way! I just block it straight away whenever they ring.

Got a call earlier from [email protected]:45 and they left a voicemail saying something like, "there's unusual activity detected on your IP, press 1 to speak with a rep or your internet will be cut off." They didn’t say who they were, just left the creepy message. Felt a bit dodgy to me.

Got a call from Latvia and straight away I could tell it was a scam. I decided to mess about with them a bit and ended up wasting their time for nearly 5 minutes. What muppets!

I got a call claiming to be from BT's Engineering team, warning me about some risky activity on my internet that might lead to it being cut off. It reminded me of a couple of earlier calls I received, but this time the voice sounded really polished and believable, unlike the dodgy ones I’d heard before.

I got a call from someone pretending to be from BT's tech team, said I'd missed an important call regarding dodgy activity on my IP. They warned my internet and phone might get disconnected. Sounded pretty legit at first.

Honestly, I'd steer clear of agreeing to whatever they say on that line. They make it sound super legit, but it's actually a really dodgy scam that can cause trouble. Stay safe!

Just like loads of others have said, it was one of those internet outage scams. Definitely a dodgy call.

Got a call from someone with a weird foreign accent claiming to be from Amazon Prime. He said I'd be charged £39.99 every week if I didn’t cancel my membership. The thing is, I don’t even have a Prime account, though I did order something from Amazon yesterday and you can accidentally sign up for Prime fairly easily. When I asked to cancel, he said he’d email me a form and walk me through filling it out. That’s when I realised it was dodgy, so I told him it was a scam and he just hung up.

Got a voicemail from my internet company saying my service is about to be disconnected because of some “illegal activity” they claim happened. They said it won’t be back on for 1 to 2 days at least while they sort it out with us. Also mentioned they’re going to report it to the cops, which was quite worrying!

Got a call from someone saying they were from my phone company threatening to cut off my service. Had a similar call about a week ago too. Best thing is to just hang up and not do what they say. Definitely don’t trust these calls!

i’ve been getting loads of calls about amazon prime this month, all from some recorded voice of an american lady. i don’t even have an amazon prime deal, so i figured it’s a scam straight away. one time, it was a real bloke on the phone, i told him to stop bothering me and that it was a scam. he tried to argue he wasn’t lying but i just ended the call anyway.

Got a recorded message saying my amazon prime subscrption is going to renew automatically, and if I want to stop it I should press 1 to chat with someone. Thing is, I never signed up for amazon prime so I reckon if I hit 1, I’ll end up calling some costly premium number and get stung with a huge bill. Pretty sure it’s a scam.
