I got a call on Monday 9th November 2020 from someone claiming to be from Outreach, saying my internet was hacked and there was strange activity on my connection. The caller sounded like an American bloke, so I just hung up. Later, I looked up the number: 0208 9535752. I decided to ring it back and a nervous woman answered, telling me it was a private number. Not sure if these scammers are managing to mask their calls as private now or what.

Got a phone call from a robotic voice saying they were booking a BT engineer to sort out a bill for over six million pounds. Absolutely ridiculous and a bit scary too. Earlier on, I had a couple of calls from men with Indian accents saying they were from BT Openreach. When I told them I was recording the conversation, they just slammed the phone down. Such nonsense!

Someone rang up sayin I was havin issues with my internet and if I didnt listen to them I'd get into big trouble. They claimed they’d sent me an email, but I never got anything. After I stopped them, that was the end of it.

An Asian gentleman rang me, claiming to be from BT Openreach, insisting that my broadband had been compromised and that they'd have to suspend my service the following day. He then asked me to reveal what devices I had linked to my internet. I couldn't believe it! Honestly, BT Openreach never makes calls of that nature, and I double-checked with my actual provider who had no clue regarding his claims. This is definitely a scam!

Today I got a call from someone claiming to be with BT Openreach, sounded like he was Indian, saying my account was at risk of suspension because of suspicious activity. I didn’t share any info with him, and he got quite annoyed, offering to prove he was legit by giving me my account licence number. Still, I didn’t give him a thing. Then he threatened to suspend my account for three months if I didn’t cooperate, saying I should just hang up if I wanted that. I told him to do what he liked and suggested he find a proper job before ending the call.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying he was from BT OpenReach. He warned me that my wifi was under attack and would be cut off for 10 days. Said hackers were after my data to scam me. Turns out, those so-called hackers are actually the scammers themselves! Never share your IP address with callers like that - they just wanna break into your network and nick your personal details.

Got a call claiming to be from BT Openreach saying my broadband would be down for 10 days because of some “update.” They insisted I update my router right away over the phone or I’d lose access after the update. They kept pushing for me to do it with them. When I said no, they started getting pretty rude. I rang BT afterwards, and they told me it was definitely a scam. They've been ringing me nonstop every single hour for about a week, obviously a scam pretending to be from Openreach. I decided to mess with them a bit and said I needed to grab my laptop. After about 5 minutes and 45 seconds of me stalling, they finally gave up and hung up. Fingers crossed, they don't try their luck again.

Got a call from this number earlier claiming to be Openreach. They said my internet would be cut off because someone was supposedly doing dodgy stuff on my connection. Today at about 12:21pm, I got a phone call from somebody saying they were from Outreach and warning me that my internet would get cut off in 24 hours because my account had been hacked. When this happened, I was already chatting with Talktalk, who told me it wasn't them and advised me it was a scam. I didn’t bother listening to the rest of what the caller said, just told them I wasn’t interested and ended the call.
