Got a call from someone saying they were with BT's "Technical Department." They started with the typical stuff about my internet being hacked or used by scammers. I just passed them on to our IT team who weren't impressed and told them to sod off.

Got a call earlier from someone claiming to be from the BT tech team, telling me my internet was about to be disconnected. I hung up straight away. She rang again, and when my mate mentioned they sounded like scammers, the caller quickly ended the call. They even asked if they could get into our computers. Tried dialing the number back but it just wouldn’t connect.

I get these calls in bursts, like nothing for ages then suddenly loads in one day. Luckily, I’ve got caller ID and an answerphone, so if the number’s not familiar I just let it ring out unless they leave a message that’s worth responding to. When I answered before, the more I gave them tetchy comments, the more they kept calling back over and over that same day. Honestly, the best thing is to have caller ID and just block all private numbers as well.

Got a call from a lady with an accent, claimed she was calling from BT tech support about some issue with my internet. I responded with a bit of sarcasm, saying "oh really?" and next thing, she said she didn’t appreciate my tone and just ended the call. Proper time waster that was.

Got a call from someone claiming there was a problem with my BT broadband, but I actually use Virgin Media! Pretty clear it was a scammer from India trying to trick me.

Morning got a ring from this number, someone said they were with BT. When I asked where they were calling from, they just said "London". I told them I don’t have BT, but they kept going on about issues with my internet lines being BT’s. The voice sounded Asian to me, so I just ended the call.

Got a call supposedly from BT tech support saying my internet was under threat from hackers and they were about to cut off my broadband. They told me it could be fixed right then and there on the phone at no charge! I told them not to mess with my connection, but they just talked over me and ignored what I said, so I ended up hanging up. Since then, I’ve been getting nearly daily calls about my internet, always from people with Indian sub-continent accents, both men and women. It’s really annoying!

Called early in the morning, just as I was about to deal with my garden waste. Heard a bunch of chatter from operators in the background before the person started talking, so I just ended the call. Bit of a stressful interruption on a nice day.
