This morning I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent saying there was something wrong with my computer. I told her my computer was fine and to stop calling me. She kept talking so I just ended the call. Definitely a scam.

My elderly mum got bombarded with calls from this number, and luckily I was with her to handle it. They kept being really rude and aggressive, not willing to believe that the number was from a private residence care home where she lives. They just wouldn't accept that mum couldn’t discuss the computer stuff they kept asking about, which she doesn’t own. Worse, they kept threatening to keep ringing until mum answered. Honestly, it felt like pure harassment and was totally out of order. If I hadn’t been there, I’m genuinely worried about how it would have upset her, given her fragile state. They did end up calling back multiple times, and when I told them I’d be reporting their behaviour, they just told me to go ahead, saying there was nothing I could do to stop them.

Had a call from some guy named “Jon” claiming to be from Microsoft support, said he was ringing from Hanover Street, London. When I asked him what number he was calling from, he wouldn’t say a thing. I mentioned I was recording the chat and he suddenly got really rude, even hoping something bad on me, then just hung up hard. My advice? Keep recording these calls, it really gets under their skin, and you can have a bit of fun messing with them!

So, this morning I got a call from someone claiming my Windows PC was infected with malware and that it happened every time I used it. I couldn’t help but chuckle a bit, especially since I actually teach IT security for a living. When I didn’t fall for it, the bloke started getting quite rude, which was honestly quite amusing.

I got a call earlier from a woman claiming that my computer had some corrupt files downloaded onto it. When I asked who she worked for, she said technical support. I wanted to know how she had my info since I never signed up for anything. She was quite rude about it and refused to explain. Then I asked her what my name was, and she gave me some random name instead. I told her to take her scam somewhere else, and wouldn't you know it, she just hung up on me!

This same number rang me claiming to be from "Windows Tech Support". I tried to keep the convo going to waste his time and hopefully stop him from ringing someone else who might fall for it. Eventually, I just got fed up and ended the call.

loads of these calls are just dodgy tricks trying to get info off your computer to sell it to scammers, best thing to do is just hang up and don’t answer back.

I got a call from 002125143621 and the bloke on the line sounded Asian, called himself Shaun and said he’s from some sort of Computer Maintenance Team. When I asked who he wanted to talk to, he said it was about a laptop. I told him I don’t own one. Then he went on about me needing to get a laptop because I was going to die soon. I asked why I’d be dying soon and he just said I would be. I asked why I’d bother buying a laptop then and he said it was for keeping memories. After that, he started swearing at me, so I just hung up.

Got calls from this number two days in a row, both times men. One bloke claimed he was from Windows support, the other insisted he worked in Computer Maintenance, both quite pushy with their spiel.
