This number has rung me twice over the past few days from someone overseas. The first call, I decided to humour them and pretend to follow their instructions, just to drag things out since they were wasting my time. When they asked about what showed up on my screen (they seemed to think they were remotely accessing my PC), I threw in a rude remark and they suddenly ended the call. I assumed that would be the end of it, but surprisingly they rang back today. Honestly, are they that daft?

Got a call from a guy claiming to be with Openreach, said my internet was about to be cut off. I told him I’m on cable, no BT phone line here. Then I warned him I was passing the call to the local police. Guess what? He just hung up! Got a whistle ready now for the next time these scammers ring me - they better watch out!

Got a ring from 02125489245, this bloke with a Pakistani accent introduced himself as Kevin and claimed he was from BT’s internet security team. He said my account had been hacked and offered to help me reset the router and boost its security. Then he told me to hit the windows key plus R on my keyboard. That’s when I lost it a bit. I’m not even a BT customer and my number’s private. Plus, I work in IT myself! Total scam call from someone in Pakistan trying to trick you into giving them control of your PC. Dodgy and risky, just hang up straight away!

I had a trio of calls come through yesterday. The first was from a chap named Luke at BT, followed by another from someone called Mark, and then a lady joined the mix. Oddly enough, Luke and Mark had very similar voices, almost like they were the same Asian bloke. They both insisted there had been some suspicious goings-on with my account.

A woman rang me at 9 o'clock this morning, claiming to be from BT technical support. She warned that our Wi-Fi would be disconnected for maintenance within the next hour. I responded, rather firmly, that this wouldn’t be happening as I rely on my laptop for work. She promptly ended the call. When I attempted to dial the number back, it turned out to be unrecognised.

Got a few calls from 012125489245 claimin they're from BT, speakin with an Indian accent. They said our computer had some kind of risky activity early morning at 2am. My husband told them off right away and hung up. About 10 minutes later, they called again, this time shouting at me asking for "the man". I told them pretty bluntly to buzz off. They've phoned us loads of times, often usin different numbers. Last time I checked, I counted at least five different numbers they used!

Already had them ring me three times in half an hour! Some bloke with an Indian or Asian accent said he was from BT’s tech department, saying my internet was being hacked and that they were going to cut it off for ten days. Then they said if I just logged onto my PC, they’d help me sort it out. I told them I was calling the police, and they just hung up straight away!

Today I got two calls from this number, both saying they were from BT and there was an issue with my internet. The first caller’s English was really bad and it didn’t sound legit at all. The second call seemed a bit more believable, but I ended the call pretty quick after the first one. Weirdly enough, after I looked up the number online, my internet suddenly went down! we use a call blocker so the phone never actually rings when these calls come in which is good because you only get a missed call alert instead of a proper ring. the number came up after I looked it up from a 1471 missed call notification. these call guard apps are pretty useful for annoying calls like that.

Got a call today from a weird number I found on 1471. Turned out to be that dodgy old Microsoft scam about a virus on my PC, trying to get me to install their so-called software (actually malware). Thought that fraud was long gone by now!
