We ignore this number every time it shows up. They tend to call around lunchtime and then again late afternoon, about 4.30 or 5. It's really irritating.

I received a phone call today, which was the third time this week. Usually, there would just be some music playing and then they would hang up. However, today was different. A woman with an Indian or Pakistani accent told me that my computer's license would expire tomorrow and she threatened to shut it down. I decided to play dumb and waste her time for a while. But then, I couldn't hold back my frustration any longer and unleashed a barrage of insults about her parentage and other offensive remarks. Eventually, she hung up, hopefully having learned some new English words in the process! I've reached a point where I no longer engage politely with these scammers. Instead, I choose to respond with hostility.

Wow, this number has rung me at least a dozen times since it first showed up on my caller ID a couple of weeks ago! I've got BT Call Guardian set up on my phone, so I blocked it straight away. Every day, I get at least one call from this foreign number. It's clearly visible on my caller ID, but I never answer it since my voicemail is always activated. It's incredibly frustrating, especially because I work night shifts and have no idea how to report or block this extremely bothersome number. If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it! 😊

I received a call from a woman with an Indian/Pakistani accent who claimed that my computer was sending donations abroad. She threatened to shut down my PC permanently if I didn't let her fix it. However, I was skeptical and promptly ended the call. Just recently, I had a similar experience from a different number: 009073554434. The caller supposedly represented BT. It seems like these scam calls keep coming in every week, and they originate from various sources.

These people rang me claiming there was something wrong with my computer or whatever. I told them straight up they were a bunch of con artists. Then the next week, they called again, so I reminded the guy they’d already bothered me once and told him he should feel guilty and find an honest job instead of scamming others. I even said I hoped his mum was embarrassed by what he’s doing. Guess that’s why they keep annoying me!

I've received a few calls from them before, usually hanging up right away. However, this time I decided to ask for their name. They identified themselves as "Digital Network Solver." When I asked for their contact number, the person on the other end replied with a rather peculiar question, "Are you searching for it on Google?" I honestly replied that I was planning to do so shortly. To my surprise, the person responded threateningly, saying, "You won't be able to do that because I'm going to shut down your computer"! Amused by such absurdity, I simply responded with "Enjoy yourself" and promptly ended the call.

I came across a scam regarding my Microsoft account, where the scammers claimed that it had been hacked and was making donations to China. Interestingly, the scammers had some inaccurate information about me and went as far as threatening to permanently shut down my computer. Their next move was to convince me to log on to my computer so they could guide me through fixing the supposed issue. I managed to keep one of the scammers on the phone for a while, prompting him to transfer me to his supervisor. However, the supervisor only repeated the same false information before I ended the call. It was evident that both individuals were males of Asian descent working in a call centre.

I even said I was deliberately keeping him on the line so he couldn't phone anyone else. Each time he tried to hang up, I just pushed him more with some sarcasm till, after 26 minutes and 44 seconds, he gave up and hung up. Scammer: Time is money, you're wasting mine. Me: Yeah, I know! Beware of computer licensing scams! It is essential not to be taken in by their threats. Do not under any circumstances switch on your computer or comply with any instructions they provide, regardless of how forceful or convincing they might appear. Rest assured, your licence cannot be deactivated, and there is no validity to claims that your account is being misused to send fraudulent letters or emails, nor is it being accessed by individuals in China or Australia. Stay vigilant and protect yourself from such deceitful tactics.

Got a call today, very much like the one described here, about my computer supposedly sending out some sort of begging emails from China. They said if I didn’t switch on my computer and verify my licence number, Microsoft would block us and blacklist us for 5 years. I told them to go ahead and block us, I wasn’t giving them any info. They claimed they sent 15 messages, but kept changing their story. The woman’s name was Sam. Be careful, I’m pretty sure it’s a scam. They even asked if we used online banking, which made me even more suspicious. Wonder what their endgame is.

Some bloke said he was from an internet provider and that my PC had been hacked from China, I just told him to jog on.

Got a ring from this number saying my computer’s licence was about to expire today. I told em that computers don’t need licences and that I’m an IT engineer. Then the line just went dead. Bet they were trying to get me to download some rubbish to “fix” a problem that’s not even real.
