Since the 8th of July 2016, they've been ringing me every single day. Then from Monday the 25th of July, they switched the number to 002032878983. Not so clever for them though, cos I always check who's calling and I just don't pick up.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent calling himself Tom. He went off on some spiel about my Microsoft licence being cancelled. I told him I doubted it and the next thing he gets all annoyed, insisting he meant the actual computer I was using. At that point I lost it and told him straight up he was talking rubbish and hung up. Think again if you reckon I'm some easy target just cos I’m an older lady!

Just got a call from some bloke saying he had to shut my account and wanted me to log in. I politely told him what I thought and hung up straight away. What a total scam that was!!!

Got a ring from this number earlier, and some guy with an Indian accent was asking for my hubby. I calmly told him to take my number off their list since my husband passed away in December, but he just ignored me. Instead, he went on about computer stuff, so I told him to pay attention and then told him bluntly not to call back ever again.

This guy from Asia rings me a couple of times daily. I just ignore the calls now. Pretty sure it's some sort of scam.

I'm having the exact same problem as loads of others here. Is there any way to actually block these calls? Honestly, I don’t even have Microsoft on my computer!

I got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent saying my computer was involved in some illegal stuff. He insisted I turn on my PC so he could check the licence. Wouldn’t back down until I asked him to tell me which one of the five different computers I own was the culprit. After that, he got all defensive like I’d caught him out. This feels like a dodgy scam to me, some kinda fraud by trickery. Does anyone know who I should report this to?

Every time I answer, they just drop the call straight away.

I had a similar thing happen. The last bloke got really shouty when I refused to do what he wanted. So, I gave as good as I got and told him to basically get lost. He hung up on me and hasn’t rung since. Honestly, don’t bother answering - it’s definitely a SCAM.

Got a call from some bloke saying he was Tom from Microsoft. He tried telling me they were going to cancel my licence or something like that. Definitely a scam - don’t fall for it, it’s not legit at all.

I got a call from someone called 'Alex' who was trying super hard to make me believe my PC was about to break down. When I didn’t go along with it, he started getting pretty rude. Oh, and naturally, he claimed to be from Microsoft - what a surprise!

I got a call from this number claiming to be from Microsoft, saying my licence was involved in some kind of scam to steal money. When I mentioned my son actually works at Microsoft, the bloke suddenly got all dodgy and asked me for my son's phone number. I told him there's no way I’d give it out. Then he threatened that if I didn’t share it within 14 minutes, my computer would stop working and asked if he could switch it off remotely. I told him no and just hung up. Be careful, Microsoft don’t ring you out of the blue - it’s definitely a scam.

Some bloke called “James” claiming to be from Microsoft support phoned me up. He said I had to switch on my PC and check my license key, which he actually gave me. I told him I was tied up, and he got really rude fast, telling me to hurry up with my cooking and get my computer on straight away, within an hour apparently. He said he’d ring me back in an hour to explain some urgent stuff. I looked it up on the official Microsoft site, and yep, it’s a total scam. Proper dodgy lot. If you see this number pop up, just block it, trust me.

Got a call telling me my computer licence was about to be cancelled and if it did, my PC would just quit working and I'd get blacklisted by Windows. I just said "oh dear, what a pity" and immediately put the phone down. Of course my computer's still fine!

I've had two calls today already, both claiming they're here to sort out the cancellation of my Microsoft license. Yeah, sure...

It was definitely a scam, pretending to be from Microsoft. They just wanted to trick me and there was nothing real about it at all. Wouldn't trust calls like that for a second.

A person said they were from Microsoft and asked for my info. It's quite amusing really since I’ve never actually purchased any licence from Microsoft, so there’s no way they’d have any clue about me or my details.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming he was from Microsoft. Said someone in a different country was using the licence on my laptop. I told him I don't even have a Microsoft licence and hung up. He actually rang me back afterwards! Quite the hassle.

Why bother ringing if you’re just gonna hang up straight away every single time I pick up?!

So, I got a call from a young guy with an Asian accent, he wanted to talk about funeral plans. Been getting a couple of calls like this lately. I didn’t share any personal stuff like my age though. He wasn’t pushy or rude at all, actually he was really polite and had a nice voice, so it was quite pleasant to have a little chat.
