this morning around 9:30, some bloke called peter claiming to be from microsoft rang me saying there was an issue with my PC and wanted me to log in. i played along for a bit, keeping him chatting before finally letting him know i wasn’t daft and saw straight through his scam. he kept insisting he was legit for a bit longer. then i told him i actually work for microsoft and could sort out his computer problems instead. that seemed to rile him up, and he admitted it was a scam, asking me what i’d do about it before hanging up.

this number called me twice and took money from me for both. i rang up bt about it and they said their security team will investigate. they told me i'll hear back within 7 to 10 days.

Got five calls today, three from a bloke and two from some woman, all either from this number or just 'unknown'. Each time they kick off with "Hi, it’s (name) from Microsoft, alright?" and every one of ‘em had a foreign accent. The final straw was this morning when they woke me up - clearly they’re somewhere else and don’t care about UK time zones! Seriously, what’s Microsoft doing to stop this nonsense?

got a couple missed calls from that same number earlier at work. the first call they probs didnt reckon i’d have an answerphone set up. i heard some mumbling in the background but couldnt make out anything clear, no clue what language it was. if they’re the one ppl say might be from microsoft, we’ve had those calls loads of times already.

They said they were from Microsoft, but the connection was awful, barely managed to catch what they were saying. They said someone would ring me back soon - I’m almost tempted to mess with them a bit before calling them out as crooks. Got a call yesterday too, from a number that wouldn't show up, so looks like I’m on their list again. Odd they didn’t wipe my number after the last time they tried. This time I might pretend to be some scared old lady who’s totally fooled at first, then bam - tell them where to go when the moment’s right haha.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with BT, but they ended up screaming a ton of insults at me. I told BT about it, and they said scammers like that can steal as much as £1000 from your bank. Proper dodgy!

I got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft. They even told me my computer's licence security ID, which freaked me out a bit. Then they asked me to put in and run something called supremocontrol. I told them no way, I didn’t trust it at all. The bloke told me to shut up and just hung up on me. Proper rude!

Just a little while back, this bloke rings me up claiming he’s Peter from Microsoft. He goes on about how my computer’s been sending them alerts ‘cause of some downloading errors. Yeah, right, as if I’m buying that story!

Some dodgy foreigners phoned me saying they’d been watching my computer for days and had loads of reports about it. They insisted they were from Microsoft. I told them I wasn’t about to switch on my computer and asked where they were calling from. They hurriedly said London before hanging up. I’ve now reported it to action fraud. So, everyone, if you get calls like this, don’t let them get near your computer or share any of your info!

Some bloke rang me, going on about a Microsoft problem with my computer. I asked him, "What computer?" then he told me to buzz off and just ended the call.

Some bloke rang me saying he was from Microsoft Windows. He told me my computer had some sort of error and asked me to get on it right away so he could show me the problem. But when I started asking him stuff like how he got my exact tel number, he just cut off on me. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

Got a couple of calls today from people saying they're with Microsoft. They said they’ve been watching my PC for a couple of weeks and that it’s got loads of viruses. Then they tried to get me to let them on my computer to fix it. I didn’t fall for it and refused. Different voices both times, but obviously the same con. I’ve already reported the number to Microsoft.

I keep getting calls at all hours, and there’s loads of background noise and people talking. So, I quickly hang up when I pick up. I’ve just signed up for caller ID now.

We're thoroughly exhausted by those persistent calls we keep getting from this number in the early afternoon. We never answer them, and it's getting rather tiresome.

Another phoney call pretending to be from Microsoft! It didn't take long for them to figure out we weren't falling for their tricks, and they resorted to hurling insults before they abruptly ended the call! What a laugh!
